Corey Graves has officially apologized to Mauro Ranallo for the tweet he sent out during NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

Off the back of a weekend packed with some terrific wrestling, most fans have found themselves discussing a certain tweet sent by Corey Graves. The tweet, posted on Saturday night during NXT TakeOver: WarGames, insinuated that Mauro Ranallo talks too much and doesn't afford his commentary partners the chance to get a word in edgeways. That one tweet has caused quite the stir.

Ranallo not only deleted his Twitter account, but it has also been reported that the announcer missed Survivor Series due to the comments. The latest rumor is that Ranallo still hasn't fully recovered and will not be calling the action for NXT tonight. Due to Ranallo's bipolar disorder, he has likely been unable to let the comment slide as some others might have been able to do.

Graves has now issued an apology for the tweet, admitting that it was "not the most professional way to go about things." "I would never intentionally cause anybody undue stress, especially a co-worker. So, I apologize," Graves said on his podcast After The Bell. The SmackDown commentator addressed the situation and issued the apology right at the top of the show.

Graves has received a lot of hate for his comments since making them and has even wound up clashing with other wrestling personalities since Saturday. While the tweet was clearly meant as banter between two announcers who would sort of be doing battle the following night, Graves obviously didn't consider the recipient. As mentioned above, Ranallo suffers from bipolar disorder and often reacts differently to comments such as these as other people would have done.

Hopefully, the apology from Graves will go some way to everyone being able to move past this situation. It would be a real shame if Ranallo's time with NXT came to an end in the same way his tenure on SmackDown did. There's a chance Ranallo will be on NXT tonight, but at the very least, we'd hope to hear his voice again next Wednesday. We hope he's well and if anyone has his ear right now, make sure he gives After The Bell a listen.
