Color commentator Corey Graves is a familiar face of WWE's broadcasting team. He is not the average commentator as he has the most radical appearance when it comes to dealing with color commentary. He is all decked out in tattoos, and he has appeared on such WWE programs as RAW, Smackdown Live, and NXT . Some people may wonder if Graves has a preference of which show he likes to appear on and display his commentary talents.

Sam Roberts had Corey Graves as a guest on his show and Graves revealed what it is like to be a commentator and the inner workings of being a color commentator. Graves reveals that he likes to tell the stories of the matches. His preference of show that he likes to tell these stories on is RAW.

Graves describes being on commentary as a movie trailer. He says you know when a movie is about to start, but Graves essentially says that he and Coach add the shine and the sizzle. Graves says that both Smackdown and RAW are both great shows with great talent, but according to Graves Smackdown moves along very quickly from one point to another. Graves says he likes RAW because of the extra hour that is included with the program. Graves goes on to say that he has time on RAW to add to the story and also add some creativity to his journalism.

Corey explains that Michael Cole is like the straight man in a comedy act. He gives technical details to the listeners that the listeners might not understand. Graves says that it is up to him and The Coach to make sure that the audience actually wants to watch the program or not. Graves also says it is his job to make or break things during the program.

Graves gives an interesting insight into a world that a majority of wrestling fans have no idea that exists. There are other things that Graves talks about with Sam Roberts such as an internet rumor that Graves is going to be replaced with a woman pretty soon, with Graves jokingly saying he is going to be replaced with Aja Kong or even Bull Nakano. Graves informs us that it is up to the heel commentators to keep the audience tuned in to watching the program.
