There are plenty of uncertainties heading into WrestleMania 34, and one of those revolves around the angle involving Daniel Bryan, Shane McMahon, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

The ongoing feud between the commissioner of SmackDown Live and Owens-Zayn has been a confusing one at best. After screwing over both men during the six-pack challenge for the WWE Championship at Sunday's Fastlane pay-per-view, Shane O'Mac announced that Zayn and Owens would face each other at 'Mania - and that he'd be taking a leave of absence from SmackDown.

Owens and Zayn responded by viciously attacking McMahon at the end of SmackDown, and he required medical attention. As such, fans are still confused if Owens vs. Zayn will really happen, and what role Daniel Bryan could play in it.

According to Randall Ortman of Cagesideseats.com, the rumor is that Bryan will be the special guest referee match between Owens, Zayn and Shane O'Mac at WrestleMania in New Orleans. But again, these are only rumors, and nothing has been confirmed yet.

But by the time SmackDown Live rolls around again, WrestleMania 34 will be less than three weeks away. So the creative team doesn't have much time left to play around, which means we can probably expect to learn Bryan's 'Mania role (or lack of), soon enough.

Without a doubt, the storyline involving these four men has been a strange one. There hasn't been any major escalation of the rivalry since Zayn helped Owens beat Shane at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view. On top of that, Bryan and Shane have teased a potential feud of their own, with the former often siding with the villainous Zayn-Owens tandem.

But barring anything unforeseen, the angle involving (at least) Owens and Zayn will continue into the Mercedes-Benz Superdome next month. Whether or not McMahon and/or Bryan have any involvement in the match remains to be seen.
