Daniel Bryan Feels Like A MASSIVE Hypocrite Working For WWE

Daniel Bryan has two loves, the environment and wrestling. Unfortunately, they don't exactly go hand in hand and it makes Bryan feel like a hypocrite.

Daniel Bryan believes himself to be something of a hypocrite due to his employment with WWE flying right in the face of his love of the environment.

Daniel Bryan is not your average professional wrestler, nor was he ever even before he retired. That's what makes him so unique and is why fans continue to gravitate to him almost two years after he was forced to retire from in-ring competition. His smaller stature and average look make it almost impossible not to rally behind him as a fan.

The SmackDown Live General Manager is very different from your average wrestler outside of the ring also. If you follow Bryan on social media or watch him on Total Divas you'll know that the former WWE World Heavyweight Champion is very invested in the environment, and more specifically preserving it. Both he and his wife Brie Bella are very environmentally conscious.

While speaking on Rosenberg Radio with Pete Rosenberg recently Bryan admitted that he realizes the hypocrisy of his career considering his love of the environment. "This is where I'm a hypocrite is that what we really need to do is stop people from consuming so much stuff, but my whole job is to get people to consume stuff," Bryan explained to Rosenberg. Apparently, the leader of the Yes Movement even stopped wearing his t-shirts to the ring towards the end of his wrestling run since inorganic cotton is terrible for the environment.

Despite Bryan being fully aware of the industry he is a part of being damaging to the environment, clearly, his love of pro wrestling trumps that. Only a few months passed before Bryan returned to WWE after his retirement so that he could still play a role in the company. Plus, to this day, he is still lobbying to wrestle again, something that feels will inevitably happen in 2018 whether it be for WWE or otherwise.

Even though everything Bryan says about the pro wrestling industry being bad for the environment rings true, most of us are very glad it didn't stop him from pursuing his true dream. Bryan has supplied us wrestling fans with some unforgettable memories and here's hoping that, providing he's healthy enough, he provides us with many more and returns to the ring some time soon.
