Dean Ambrose Expected To Take Time Off After No Mercy

AJ Styles will be defending his WWE Championship against Dean Ambrose and John Cena at No Mercy in just over two weeks time, and it seems Styles has become the odds-on favourite to win the match before it's even taken place.

This is because, if speculation is to be believed both John Cena and Dean Ambrose are set to take lengthy hiatus' from WWE following the event on October 9th.

Cena needs to take some time away to film the second season of American Grit while Ambrose looks set to be cast in another WWE Studio's production after his starring role in 12 Rounds 3 Lockdown back in 2015.

Ambrose has been given a lot of negative reactions lately and it could be a good idea for WWE to allow him some time away to recharge his batteries and come back afresh for the new year.

It will be interesting to see how WWE fill Ambrose and Cena's position on the SmackDown roster, especially since it's reported that the former World Champion could be written off WWE until the Royal Rumble.

Rumors of a Samoa Joe call-up could be just speculation, but SmackDown also have Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton to fall back on. This may cushion the blow when they realize the fact that they are losing their biggest babyface for three months.
