There are few wrestlers more closely associated with WCW than Diamond Dallas Page. He started in the business much later than most and wasn't given much of a chance for success. Still, he rose through the ranks and became one of their most prominent champions.

When WWF, now WWE, bought WCW, DDP made his debut with them, working for the company for a short time. His biggest feud was with The Undertaker and he also had a run as the WWE European Champion, which he successfully defended at WrestleMania X8.

DDP's WWE run ended early due to an injury and a second stint with the company featured few matches, leaving a lot of dream bouts on the table.

10 Randy Orton

The Viper rose to prominence as the fourth member of Triple H's Evolution stable and became one of the WWE's franchise players. When he's a face, he's good. When he's a heel, he's better. When he's in Carefree Randy mode, he's the best.

A match between him and DDP would have been epic, considering the similarities between Orton's RKO and Page's Diamond Cutter. Watching the two legends try to hit their respective finishers on each other out of nowhere could have made for a tense match up.

9 Rob Van Dam

The legendary ECW alum has had some huge runs in a variety of promotions, including WWE. DDP and RVD actually crossed paths there, working with the company in the early 2000s. Despite having runs there at the same time, a match between the two never materialized.

It's a pairing that could have had huge potential in the ring. But the nature of the storylines at that point didn't lead to the two wrestlers squaring off. It would have been an interesting bout to watch, though.

8 Triple H

The godfather of NXT has carved a name for himself behind the scenes as well as inside the squared circle. Triple H has faced some of the most famous names in the industry, from The Rock and Stone Cold Steve Austin to Sting.

But Diamond Dallas Page is one of the wrestlers HHH has never fought and it's unlikely that it will ever happen. A match between them would pit two wrestlers of similar styles against each other. It would be a hard-hitting fight but it would also be a match for the ages.

7 Stone Cold Steve Austin

DDP has sometimes been referred to as the Stone Cold Steve Austin of WCW. Both men played the part of the working-class hero fighting against their overbearing bosses. Austin and Page rode that wave to the tops of their respective companies.

A match between them could have proved to be interesting. Unfortunately, it never materialized, despite the fact they were both around the WWE at the same time. Fans wanted to see the Diamond Cutter versus the Stone Cold Stunner, but maybe an interview on the Broken Skull Sessions would suffice.

6 Batista

While few would have expected this, the Animal has built an impressive name for himself outside of the wrestling world in Hollywood. That being said, Batista hasn't forgotten where he got his big break.

DDP and Batista have completely different styles but a match between them could have been great. While they were in the WWE at the same time, a one-on-one match never happened, though they did tag together at house shows against the likes of The Brothers of Destruction.

5 Rey Mysterio

As strange as this seems, the master of the 619 and DDP have never faced off against each other. They worked in WCW together and briefly crossed paths in WWF/WWE after the fall of WCW. Despite all of that, they have never actually had a match in the ring.

Like Batista, Mysterio's style could not be more different from DDP's but those contradictions are where great matches come from. It's too bad this match never materialized since it would have been legendary.

4 Jeff Hardy

Somehow the crazier of the two Hardy Brothers, Jeff became a WWE legend by throwing himself off really tall objects and trying to land on people. It doesn't always work out, but it makes for a cool visual. He is the author of more iconic high flying WWE moments than almost any other wrestler.

Jeff would have crossed paths with DDP during the tail end of Hardy's first run in the WWE, so a match would have been possible at that point. Considering where both men are in their respective careers, that match is less and less likely.

3 Shawn Michaels

If Shawn Michaels and DDP had ever gotten in the ring together, there is no doubt that business would have really picked up. These are two of the top wrestlers in their respective companies in similar eras. Again, this matchup was missed due to injuries.

When DDP joined WWE, Shawn Michaels was still on an extended hiatus due to a severe back injury. When he returned, DDP was on his way out with an injury of his own. As great as this match would have been, the timing was against this one, too.

2 Mick Foley

DDP and Mick Foley are two very different wrestlers with one very sad thing in common; no one ever thought they would be champions. But both men beat the odds and rose to the tops of their respective companies.

A match between Mick Foley and DDP had the potential to be outstanding but it wasn't meant to be. At the point DDP was joining the WWE, Foley was starting to pull back from it. In the end, this match remains a dream match.

1 The Rock

This one is particularly unfortunate considering it's a matchup that should have happened. Reputedly, a feud with The Rock was the one DDP wanted when he came to WWE. That feud never came to be, despite both wrestlers working for the company at the same time.

One of the issues may have been DDP's injuries during his short WWE run in the early 2000s, one of which forced him into retirement for a period. Still, this is a match that fans wanted to see.
