A few days ago Tyson Kidd Tweeted out this picture along with this note: "5% of people survive this injury. 16 staples, 4 screws and a rod later and luckily I survived to tell my story."
And he wasn't exaggerating about those statistics either. After his surgery he was told by the doctors that the injury was so high in his neck that most people would have died! Ergo the "5% of people survive." The doctors also told Kidd that he survived because he had such a strong and muscular neck.
As of right now there is no timetable for Kidd's return to the ring but it has been reported that he will be out of action for at least a year!
