Doink the Clown's mother is suing WWE, claiming the company ignored brain problems that her son, Matt Osborne, had while working for the company.
Osborne, the original Doink the Clown passed away from a drug overdose in 2013 at the age of 55. Osborne's mother claims his drug problems stemmed from concussions he sustained from years of wrestling.
Her suit claims that Vince McMahon turned a blind eye to many WWE Superstars dying young over the years. In the suit, she cites Eddie Guerrero, Chris Benoit, Mr. Perfect, Crush and others as wrestlers who died young.
Doink's mother is officially suing for wrongful death, fraud and negligence. A lawyer for the WWE has dismissed the lawsuit, saying the family of Doink is just piggybacking NFL lawsuits which resulted in settlements near $765 million for families of players who suffered concussions.
