There comes a time in every man's life when he must look into that mirror. That man must stare deep into his own, cold, lifeless eyes and decide if all he has done was really worth a damn. The age-old existential crisis.

At No Mercy, Dolph Ziggler will place his career on the line against The Miz while challenging for the Intercontinental Championship. And it would appear as though WWE's perpetual silver medalist will once again fall short.

According to Ringside News, Dolph Ziggler's current WWE contract is set to expire next month; and it is unlikely that "The Show Off" will re-sign with the company. Ziggler has made it clear that once his deal expires, he would like to pursue other interests for a while.

While Dolph Ziggler leaving is not set in stone, perhaps some time away could work wonders for the hard-bumping Superstar. And of course, with no ill feelings to report, the door should remain open for an eventual return.

Should Dolph Ziggler "lose" his career and spend a few months away from WWE, the possibility of being "re-hired" to the Monday Night Raw brand presents itself as a strong possibility.
