One of the brilliant aspects of professional wrestling is the sheer amount of characters that can exist within this world. While there's something fun about an ordinary man such as Daniel Bryan, things can go all the way to the extreme, with supernatural characters that often have abilities and totally unique personalities.

While some supernatural characters can be all about fun and light, such as The Hurricane, more often than not they end up being darker characters such as The Undertaker. But while we've seen the Deadman battle Kane, there are lots of supernatural wrestling dream matches that fans have never been able to see take place.

10 The Undertaker Vs. The Fiend

Undertaker & Fiend

While we did get to see The Undertaker face Bray Wyatt, in a fairly underwhelming match, there has never been the dream match between The Deadman and The Fiend. Seeing the most legendary supernatural character take on one of the newest and most exciting would have been a ton of fun.

A passing of the torch moment could have taken place here if WWE had ever booked this storyline, but WWE opted to leave this in the minds of the fans. This is a shame, as a cinematic match might have been good fun between these characters.

9 'Broken' Matt Hardy Vs. Gangrel

Broken Matt and Gangrel

Considering the history that Matt Hardy and Gangrel both have together, it would have been interesting to see the Broken version of Matt's character compete against Gangrel, purely to bring their entire history full circle.

Broken Matt dealing with the vampire would be entertaining to see as a feud, especially with how over the top and hilarious the Broken Matt gimmick was. It could have been executed with minimal in-ring involvement as well, but unfortunately it never came to pass.

8 The Hurricane Vs. Danhausen

Hurricane and Danhausen

Another supernatural feud that could have been hilarious would have been between The Hurricane and Danhausen. Pitting a superhero against the very evil Danhausen would be entertaining to watch.

Both of these characters are over the top, and they both tell great stories. While Danhausen can be comedic like The Hurricane, he can also be evil, and the right story could've been good between these characters. This would have been another match that could have been truly special if it had been given the cinematic treatment.

7 Alexa Bliss Vs. Rosemary

There's nothing to say that this match won't ever happen, but for now, this is a dream match that's yet to take place. Both Alexa Bliss and Rosemary are currently working with supernatural gimmicks, which is quite rare in women's wrestling.

However, they're both great at it, having fully committed to everything they do, which is why it gets over with fans. In the ring, both of them can back it up too, which would make them facing each other an entertaining storyline.

6 Aleister Black Vs. Sting

Sting and Aleister Black

This is another feud that's unlikely to happen, but still has possibilities if Aleister Black was to ever head to AEW. However, the dream feud between these two men would obviously be with Sting in his WCW prime.

Both men pushed over the top, sinister characters and while they never claimed to have powers or anything like that, they were supernatural gimmicks. Black's striking ability against Sting's pure technical wrestling style is something that would've worked well in a match, which could've been great to witness.

5 Mankind Vs. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt and Mankind

While 'The Fiend' version of Bray Wyatt is an intriguing one, his original supernatural cult leader was just as brilliant. It's a character that was all about mind games, which is why going up against Mankind would've been perfect.

Two twisted and demented individuals squaring off in the ring would've been amazing to see. While the in-ring work would've been solid, it really would have been all about the battle of the promos when it came to these iconic characters.

4 The Ultimate Warrior Vs. Luchasaurus

Ultimate Warrior and Luchasaurus

The Ultimate Warrior hailed from parts unknown and was a truly over-the-top character that worked well as a babyface. This is similar to Luchasaurus, who is a dinosaur, and together, the two of them would have a hard-hitting encounter with massive personalities being the driving factor.

The two men are over the top in the best way possible, which is why they're popular. Going back and forth with power moves and hard-hitting strikes would make for an interesting viewing experience.

3 The Boogeyman Vs. Papa Shango

These two characters were ones that relied heavily upon supernatural elements, with both being in the voodoo element of wrestling. While they could both work in the ring, it really was all about the characters and how far they could push things.

Seeing them in the same ring would have provided an amazing visual that fans wouldn't have forgotten in a hurry. While it might not have led to a technical masterpiece, it would have been a great story.

2 Kane Vs. 'The Demon' Finn Balor

Kane and Finn Balor

'Demon' Finn Balor is a character that hasn't been seen in a while, but he is a supernatural version of Finn, who often has more strength and resilience. Seeing that version of the character against a prime masked Kane is something that could have been a lot of fun.

With Kane's immense power and strength going up against the highflying action from Balor, it would lead to an exciting match. It would be a question of if Finn could overcome the Devil's Favourite Demon in his prime.

1 The Undertaker Vs. Abyss

Undertaker and Abyss

This was a match that had been rumored for some time and was even speculated for a WrestleMania match. However, it never ended up taking place, which is a shame as these two characters would have been brilliant together.

Both men could really work inside the ring, and despite being big men, they knew how to get their stories across. Against each other, that would have absolutely been the case in what would have been a dark, yet entertaining storyline.
