Dustin Rhodes has been booked for his first AEW Dynamite match and will be showcased next Wednesday when the show has its second airing on TNT.

Rhodes made an appearance on the debut episode, showing up to assist his brother Cody following an assault at the hands of Sammy Guevara. But he ended up getting attacked himself when Jake Hager showed up out of nowhere.

The former WWE performer is now set for his official debut, as has been announced in a tweet from AEW on Friday night.

The older Rhodes will pair up with Hangman Page to take on AEW champion Chris Jericho and his partner Guevara.

A huge storyline has developed since Wednesday's chaos and Hager's emergence. Guevara, who failed in his efforts to beat Cody on Wednesday, has apparently joined Jericho's stable, which also includes Hager, Ortiz, and Santana.

Rhodes is bent on revenge for the attack on his brother, as well as his own ordeal, while Page also has a bit of history with Jericho, who beat him to become the promotion's first champion.

Let's Get That First Win Now

Rhodes has been on the losing end of every match he's fought in AEW so far, both singles and tag, and he will hope to get off the mark next week.

The veteran star has looked quite good in the ring since joining AEW. He looks to be in the best shape he's been in years and he's put that technical skill on show, impressing every time he's been featured - he just needs to win a match now.

Meanwhile, AEW won their first battle with NXT on Wednesday night, scoring 1.4 million viewers to the black and yellow's 0.89 million. Next week will present a better indicator now that fans have seen what Tony Khan's promotion brings to TV.
