RUMOR: The Rock Primed To Make EPIC WWE Return Soon

The Rock could be making a return to WWE at some point during this WrestleMania season following no appearances from The Great One in 2017.

Who among us that watched WWE during The Rock's heyday could have imagined the trajectory that The People's Champion's career would take. The 10 time World Champion is one of the biggest movie stars in the world right now and it feels like he appears in a new blockbuster movie with every week that passes. The Rock hasn't forgotten his roots in WWE though.

There were times when it seemed as if The Rock wanted to forget his pro wrestling past. He has since proved that not to be the case and despite his mega movie star status he comes back to WWE from time to time. At WrestleMania 28 and WrestleMania 29, The People's Champ had history-making matches with John Cena and then opened The Show of Shows alongside Stone Cold and Hulk Hogan at WrestleMania XXX.

Last year though, The Rock did not make an appearance at WrestleMania. In fact, The Great One didn't show up in front of a WWE audience for the entirety of the calendar year. As touched upon above, The Rock is very busy with non-wrestling related projects and he likely didn't have the time to jump in a WWE ring. Well, on day one of 2018 there was evidence to suggest that he won't be going another whole year without paying WWE a visit.

Raw this past Monday emanated from Miami, The Rock's hometown. As reported by PWInsider Rock's mother and oldest daughter were sitting in the front row for the show and that has got fans speculating that man himself will soon return. He also recently responded to Curt Hawkins call out on social media as the Raw Superstar continues to try and make a gimmick out of the epic losing streak that he currently finds himself on.

It's hard to imagine that a man who loves the business as much as The Rock would willingly miss two WrestleManias in a row, so expect to see him at some point in the next few months. If and when he does come back, it will be interesting to see what capacity that will be in exactly. The last time Rock wrestled Cena he injured himself while delivering a Rock Bottom. He won't want to run that risk again as it will affect his life away from WWE.
