D-Generation thrived whether they were babyfaces or heels, as their antics always captivated fans. DX has gone through many iterations with Triple H being a constant presence in the group, whether he was in a tag team with Shawn Michaels or the undisputed leader in 1998 when HBK was on the shelf.

Ultimately, DX was enshrined in the Hall of Fame class of 2019, and they were the headline act, which they thoroughly deserved. Some forgotten members from DX were omitted from the Hall of Fame induction, but they still played a pivotal part in DX's success. DX had its fair share of members over the years, ranging from terrible to great in the ring. This won't include Mike Tyson, who was a member of the faction, but never a wrestler.

10 Hornswoggle

DX and Hornswoggle - Suck It

In 2009, Triple H and Shawn Michaels reunited DX in Michaels' final run in WWE before he retired at WrestleMania XXVI. Unfortunately, Hornswoggle joined DX in one of the worst incarnations of the legendary group.

Despite being the final WWE Cruiserweight Champion, Hornswoggle barely wrestled, and he wasn't a great in-ring competitor either. He was a comedic act and was suited being in a managerial role than being involved in matches. This iteration of DX was ultimately a pale imitation of its past greatness.

9 Tori

Tori

At the start of January 2000, Tori joined D-Generation X after she turned her back on Kane, for her lover X-Pac. This was arguably the greatest run in Tori's WWE career, as she had dreadful Women's Championship matches at WrestleMania XV and SummerSlam, the year prior.

Tori was an incredible asset to DX as she befriended Stephanie McMahon, and she aided McMahon in winning and successfully defending the WWE Women's Championship. Tori was average in the ring but she never shied away from getting physical, and The Green Goddess of DX put her body on the line by going through tables and memorably putting Bubba Ray Dudley through one too.

8 Stephanie McMahon

Stephanie

Stephanie McMahon was another welcome addition to DX when she turned heel and sided with her new husband Triple H in late 1999. McMahon's newfound demeanor was exceptional, and the two were the power couple of WWE heading into 2000.

McMahon even captured the Women's Title from Jacqueline on the go-home edition of SmackDown before WrestleMania 2000. She barely defended the title, and she wasn't great in the ring. However, a decade later, McMahon vastly improved, and she featured in high-profile bouts at SummerSlam 2014, and WrestleMania 34. McMahon is the boss' daughter, but she had a brilliant role to play in DX.

7 Chyna

Chyna

Fans were pleased to see Chyna get inducted into the Hall of Fame as part of DX, and there's no doubt she'll posthumously get inducted on her own. The Ninth Wonder of the World was a polarizing figure, and alongside Triple H, and Shawn Michaels, she was their bodyguard in DX.

Whilst, Chyna reportedly demanded huge amounts of money to be on the same level as the likes of Steve Austin, which led to her untimely departure in 2001, she was a significant presence in the ring. A former two-time Intercontinental Champion, and a one-time Women's Champion, Chyna wrestled with the men and did an exceptional job in the ring. Unfortunately, she wasn't interested in wrestling in the women's division, which she could have elevated.

6 Road Dogg

Road Dogg

Road Dogg is part of wrestling royalty, by being a member of the legendary Armstrong family. However, his true calling came when he formed The New Age Outlaws alongside Billy Gunn, and they were unquestionably one of the best tag teams in the Attitude Era.

His mic skills were remarkable, but his in-ring skills were relatively average. Dogg managed to capture the Hardcore and Intercontinental Championships in his brief singles run in 1999. He was never involved in a high-profile singles storyline, but Dogg was a mainstay in DX for many incarnations of the faction.

5 Billy Gunn

Billy Gunn

Billy Gunn had the potential to be a main event-level competitor in WWE but it never quite worked out for him. Ultimately, alongside Road Dogg, The New Age Outlaws were rebellious heels, who reverted to faces, and bounced back and forth.

The Outlaws joining DX was the perfect combination on the Raw after WrestleMania XIV. Gunn won the 1999 King of the Ring tournament but his push fizzled out rapidly. He's overcome many injury woes, and is a fine in-ring competitor, in addition to being one of the most decorated Tag Team Champions in WWE history. He also captured the Intercontinental and Hardcore titles during his illustrious career.

4 Rick Rude

Rick Rude

It's easy to forget that "Ravishing" Rick Rude was a member of D-Generation X. He was the insurance policy for Shawn Michaels in a bodyguard-type role. However, he did not wrestle during his time in DX, but he is no slouch in the ring.

Rude was a former Intercontinental Champion in his own right when he defeated The Ultimate Warrior at WrestleMania V. Ultimately, his association with DX ended after the Montreal Screwjob at Survivor Series 1997, and he joined rival company WCW immediately, as he was disgusted with what went down.

3 X-Pac

X-Pac in WWE

X-Pac is one of the most underrated wrestlers for his size, and he was undoubtedly a remarkable Cruiserweight. X-Pac is fondly remembered for his time in both D-Generation X and nWo. He also has the distinction of going into the WWE Hall of Fame with both iconic groups.

X-Pac cut one of the best promos when he rejoined WWE, and DX on the Raw after WrestleMania XIV. X-Pac held the European Championship twice with dignity, and he had magnificent matches with D'Lo Brown. He is a superb wrestler and was also the final WWE Light Heavyweight Champion in 2001.

2 Triple H

Triple H DX

Triple H has been involved in every incarnation of D-Generation X. The Game showed a comedic side to his character when he was partnered with Michaels. Moreover, Triple H took DX to the next level, when he became the leader of the faction.

Triple H is one of the best wrestlers to grace a WWE ring, which is why he is a former 14-time WWE World Champion. He is the mastermind behind NXT's success in the modern era, and he has overcome many career-threatening injuries to carve out a successful career inside the squared circle.

1 Shawn Michaels

HBK WWF Champion

Triple H may be the most successful member of DX but the incomparable Shawn Michaels is unquestionably the greatest wrestler in the faction, and possibly in wrestling history. HBK is arguably the greatest of all time, and he is included in many people's Mount Rushmores for his incredible ability.

Michaels turned heel in late 1997, and he formed D-Generation X with Triple H, Chyna, and Rick Rude. The Showstopper is a superb heel, who certainly knew how to rub people the wrong way. There's no taking away his accolades, and he became the first Grand Slam Champion in WWE history. Controversy and Shawn Michaels go hand-in-hand, but he returned as a different man after his back injury, which robbed four years of his career in 2002.
