WCW was the top wrestling company in the world for over a year when the nWo showed up and turned wrestling on its head during the Monday Night Wars. However, WCW also went out of business mostly due to many of the bad decisions made by the company throughout the years. When these moments happened on PPV shows, it was even worse.

This started even before the nWo arrived, and it was due to a couple of reasons. One of which was due to WCW being owned by a movie and TV company. The other reason was that men like Eric Bischoff and Vince Russo made very questionable decisions while booking WCW. Here are the 10 most embarrassing things to ever happen on a WCW pay-per-view.

10 JAKE ROBERTS AT HALLOWEEN HAVOC 1992

In 1992, Jake "The Snake" Roberts returned to WCW, and it was an exciting time for fans who were happy to see the legend there. He attacked Sting, and that set up a match between the deranged Snake and the biggest babyface in WCW. However, their match at Halloween Havoc left a lot to be desired.

It ended up as a Coal Miner's Glove match and ended with Jake's snake started to bite him on the face. Embarrassingly, the Snake wasn't interested, and Jake had to hold it there while pretending to wither in pain. Jake left WCW a short time later.

9 STING VS. THE DOGS

In 1999, WCW was dropping in the ratings, and things were looking bad for the company. This was made apparent in questionable decisions, including when dogs in the back attacked sting at the Great American Bash in 1999.

Sting was in a feud with Rick Steiner, of all people, and they had a falls count anywhere match. This led to them fighting backstage, where Scott Steiner released vicious dogs that attacked Sting and started biting him. Steiner won because the dogs mauled Sting — in a WCW pay-per-view match.

8 JEFF JARRETT LAYS DOWN FOR HULK HOGAN

It was at Bash at the Beach that Hulk Hogan joined the nWo, revitalized his career, and lit a fuse that carried WCW to the top of the ratings. It was at Bash at the Beach that Jeff Jarrett laid down for Hulk Hogan, Vince Russo fired him publically, and he was never seen again, leading to WCW finally going out of business. Russo said it was done by script, and Hogan said he was screwed. What happened was an embarrassment to anyone who bought the WCW PPV.

7 JUDY BAGWELL ON A POLE MATCH

Vince Russo loved pole matches. He put everything up there, from baseball bats to Viagra. Yes, he put Viagra on a pole in a Billy Kidman vs. Shane Douglas match. That was on regular TV, though. When it comes to WCW pay-per-view events, it was Judy Bagwell on a pole.

This match saw Bagwell's son Buff Bagwell battle Chris Kanyon, and his mother was on a forklift and not a pole, but it was still one of the most ridiculous things WCW did during Vince Russo's time with the company.

6 THE GIANT VS. THE YETI

THE GIANT VS. THE YETI

Some things that WCW did were beyond reason, and it wasn't always because of Vince Russo or Eric Bischoff. This was on display in 1995 at Halloween Havoc. The Giant was preparing to battle champion Hulk Hogan, and this was pre-nWo, and Giant was in the Dungeon of Doom.

Giant was fighting Hogan, and then The Yeti attacked. He was a giant man in bandages who could barely move, and the two men held Hogan in an embarrassing looking double bear hug for what seemed like forever. Ron Reis only made three more appearances as Yeti in WCW after this.

5 HOGAN VS. WARRIOR

The Ultimate Warrior made his big debut in WCW years after beating Hulk Hogan in WWE. He was there to prove once again that he was the better man than Hogan. However, after a long lead-in where Warrior haunted Hogan, the two men finally fought at Halloween Havoc in one of the worst matches of the year. The payoff from the Warrior return was just for Hogan to get his win back, and then Warrior was gone again.

4 CHAMBER OF HORRORS

In another entry from a Halloween Havoc, it seemed that WCW loved to pull out the most embarrassing moments at this specific PPV each year. This time around, it was a match called the Chamber of Horrors, and it was horrifically embarrassing in the end.

This match saw Sting, The Steiner Brothers, and El Gigante take on Cactus Jack, Big Van Vader, Abdullah the Butcher, and Scott Hall (The Diamond Studd). It was in a steel cage, and the only way to win was to get electrocuted in an electric chair, which happened to Abdullah the Butcher in one of the fakest looking spots in pro wrestling history.

3 STING AND ROBOCOP

In 1990, WCW held a pay-per-view event called Capital Combat, and people knew heading in that they were in for an embarrassing moment as wrestling fans. That is because Robocop was on the poster for the event, along with an ad for the upcoming Robocop 2. See, WCW was promoting the movie, so they had star Peter Weller show up dressed like Robocop to rip the door of a cage and free Sting to save him from the Four Horsemen.

2 STING VS HULK HOGAN AT STARRCADE

Sting ad HUlk Hogan

In 1997, Hollywood Hogan and the nWo were running all over WCW. Except for a short title reign by Lex Luger, Hogan was dominating as the champion in WCW. Sting was in the rafters, watching everything, and fans were waiting for him to return to save WCW. It was the easiest storyline ever to tell.

The match came at Starrcade, and Sting should have been the hero, saving WCW. Instead, Hogan refused to lose clean, Bret Hart showed up after Hogan won cleanly and demanded the match restart and helped Sting win. It ruined Sting's moment and was a nail in the coffin of WCW.

1 MONSTER TRUCK MATCH

Moving back to Halloween Havoc 1995 and Hulk Hogan feuding with The Giant. Remember, we already talked about their match, where The Yeti stumbled down to the ring to help The Giant. That was embarrassing, but that was not the most embarrassing moment on the show. That would take place earlier on the PPV.

Before the title match, the two had a Monster Truck Match on the roof. Hogan's Monster Truck pushed Giant's Monster Truck out of the circle and won. That was bad enough, but then they started fighting on the roof, and Hogan threw The Giant off the roof in what would be attempted murder if this wasn't professional wrestling — by the babyface champion.
