Sasha Banks and Charlotte are set to make history as they face off in the first ever Women's Hell in a Cell match in two weeks' time. Though it's obviously a huge step in history for the company, one former big name of the industry isn't buying it one bit.
Speaking on his Bischoff on Wrestling segment, former Raw GM Eric Bischoff criticized the idea, via WrestlingInc.com:
"I don't like it at all. I don't like it. The standard for Hell in a Cell is pretty high. It physically is what it is. It's a hardcore match. It's an extreme match. It's all of the above and then some...
I am not taking anything away from either of those athletes that happen to be women. I am suggesting that the audience may not necessarily want to see that type of entertainment and that type of match out of that type of an athlete. That's just my opinion."
While opinions will vary on the idea of having two women fight at Hell in A Cell in this type of match, all that matters is that WWE is going with it. We can only hope Banks and Charlotte can prove the naysayers wrong and give us one memorable fight.
