The rivalries to start between factions will either hit or miss with the audience based on the booking. Many of the best factions had strong rivalries with each other as seen with D-Generation X vs the Nation of Domination or the Four Horsemen vs the New World Order. However, quite a few would not have enough success to leave memorable legacies.

Various promotions witnessed their ideas for faction warfare struggling to make the mark as an important program to the fan base. The stories range from poor booking to bad timing to the talents involved just not possessing enough star power. Find out which rivalries have been forgotten through the years when it comes to stables feuding with each other.

10 Los Matadores vs 3 Man Band

Hornswoggle vs El Torito

The rivalry between 3 Man Band and Los Matadores was treated as a lower card comedy angle for most of their time working together. Neither group was viewed with much respect from WWE management despite having some good moments together.

Hornswoggle joining 3 Man Band placed him in a WeeLC match against fellow little person El Torito. The match was a hit on the pre-show and would have brought more attention to the feud if it took place on the main card.

9 Team Bella vs PCB

Team Bella vs PCB

WWE doesn’t like to recall the women’s evolution starting with a failed faction warfare angle. Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair joined Paige to form the PCB faction to enter a feud with Team Bella and Team BAD.

The rivalry between the Bella Twins and Alicia Fox against Paige, Charlotte, and Becky had the bigger matches that failed to connect. Charlotte beating Nikki Bella to end her record-breaking Divas Championship reign is barely remembered today due to the rivalry failing to connect.

8 Misfits in Action vs Team Canada

Misfits in Action, Team Canada

WCW tried to turn the sinking ship around in 2000 by coming up with more factions. Vince Russo wanted the Misfits in Action to be WCW’s version of D-Generation X and for Lance Storm’s Team Canada to be like Bret Hart’s Hart Foundation faction.

Hugh Morrus leading the Misfits in Action stable already put them at a disadvantage. Neither group could find much chemistry together, but Team Canada was clearly the better act. Major Gunns turning on the Misfits to join Team Canada didn’t even get the reaction the company wanted for such a big reveal in the rivalry.

7 Too Cool vs The Radicalz

Too Cool, The Radicalz

WWE struggled with finding the ideal role for The Radicalz when the four wrestlers from WCW jumped ship to WWE together. The popular trio of Too Cool became the first major rivals of The Radicalz with Chyna joining them to even the odds.

Chyna, Grand Master Sexay, and Scotty 2 Hotty defeated Dean Malenko, Eddie Guerrero, and Perry Saturn at WrestleMania 2000 at the height of the feud. It, unfortunately, lacked the interest of the audience to leave a memory. The aftermath of Chyna and Eddie’s storyline was the bigger success from the angle.

6 Los Boricuas vs Disciples of Apocalypse

Los Boricuas, Disciples of Apocalypse

WWE tried hard to make the faction warfare element of the show a drawing tool when coming up with new stables. Savio Vega led Los Boricuas and Crush led the Disciples of Apocalypse for both factions to feud with their former group, the Nation of Domination.

The rivalry ended up becoming Los Boricuas and the D.O.A. after the Nation members moved into bigger programs. Neither group could get over leading to both Crush and Savio seeing their final chances at success in WWE ending in disappointment.

5 The Wyatt Family vs The ECW Originals

The Wyatt Family vs The ECW Originals

Nostalgia was used to try to elevate new talents when the Wyatt Family feuded with some of the biggest ECW legends. Bray Wyatt led Erick Rowan, Luke Harper, and Braun Strowman against the Dudley Boyz who recruited their old friends.

Tommy Dreamer and Rhyno joined WWE to team up with Bubba and D-Von against the powerful heel group. The matches were fine, but there was little importance to the feud since everyone knew the Wyatt Family would easily come out on top as the dominant faction of the time.

4 Main Event Mafia vs World Elite

Main Event Mafia, World Elite

TNA struggled to find groups to feud with the Main Event Mafia after the Frontline faction ended. One storyline saw Eric Young leading the World Elite of international wrestlers into merging with the Main Event Mafia for a few months.

The obvious fallout saw them turning against each other since all the heel wrestlers had egos that couldn’t be contained. Young feuding with Kevin Nash and the British Invasion feuding with Booker T and Scott Steiner delivered lackluster matches. Kurt Angle disbanded the Main Event Mafia shortly into the feud to end it without much success.

3 The Filthy Animals vs Dead Pool

The Filthy Animals, The Dead Pool

Raven leaving WCW in 1999 saw Vampiro having to lead the faction they started together with the Insane Clown Posse. The trio stayed together as the Dead Pool to enter a feud with the new Filthy Animals face group.

Rey Mysterio, Eddie Guerrero, Billy Kidman, and Konnan joined together and brought their real-life friendship to the screen. The matches were surprisingly fun despite ICP being celebrities, but WCW was struggling at the time. Most fans already lost interest to make the rivalry become forgotten through the years.

2 The Mexicools vs Blue World Order

The Mexicools, Blue World Order

WWE hired a few of the wrestlers who did well on the ECW One Night Stand 2005 reunion show and struggled to book them. Super Crazy, Psychosis, and Juventud Guerrera formed the Mexicools with a terrible gimmick dooming them from the start.

The Blue Meanie was hired to reunite with Stevie Richards and Nova in the Blue World Order, but the group was almost a decade past its peak parodying the New World Order. Both groups failed at the same time not helped by the awful feud between them. It damaged the careers of all six wrestlers involved.

1 The Corre vs Nexus

The Corre, New Nexus

Nexus flopping after a great start led to WWE struggling to figure out how to salvage them. Wade Barrett started to lose the trust of some members and CM Punk entered the picture as part of the faction.

Punk eventually talked most of the group into betraying Barrett to side with him moving forward. The feud was won when Barrett was betrayed in a cage match leaving him to start The Corre. Barrett moved forward with Justin Gabriel and Heath Slater joining him, but both groups ended up failing within a few months.
