Factions. Most wrestling fans love the idea of these groups of people. Especially during this time of year when teams of five strive to survive. Teams of four go to war. It's that magical time of year when all sorts of quirky combinations are paired up for the Survivor Series. Ever since the days of the Horsemen and the Freebirds, factions have been around in some form or another. Now, thanks to Triple H’s love of the old NWA territory, we also got a taste for War Games recently.

Many of these teams are of course only made up for the event. We all love established groups as much we like these two epic events.

Currently, the main roster only has the New Day and Sanity as the true remaining factions. During the Attitude Era, there were all kinds of groups and gangs running around.

Perhaps, with today's roster depth, it might be time to group some of these guys up again to ride together and work together. In fact, with the roster being as stacked as ever, it really can be a time that WWE starts to look at forming some factions. With both the RAW and SmackDown brands having an abundance of talent, and both the men's and women's divisions being stacked, the WWE outta try more faction concepts.

We've compiled a list of 10 factions fans want to see, five that Vince McMahon wants to see, and another five Triple H wants to see.

20 Fans – The OG Bullet Club

via twitter.com

WWE has the first two leaders of the Bullet Club, along with the first two founders, and the Club’s heavy-hitting tag team all under one roof. Despite the occasional tease and callback to their shared history, they have seldom put Luke Gallows, AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, or Finn Balor all together for their version of The Club.

While three out of the four of these guys aren't that high up on the roster at the moment, putting them all together would instantly heat them all up, and bring more prominence to Styles. If the bookers don't want to risk taking some of the shine off the Phenomenal One, then just take Balor, Gallows, and Anderson and put the Balor Club together full time to run roughshod all over Raw.

19 Fans – A Real Wyatt 'Family'

via wwe.com

Factions aren't really supposed to be a joke. That's why they're out together in the first place. Take several guys that are over or getting over, put them together and let them rise up the ranks together as credible threats. That's how the Wyatt Family had started to be. That's how they can be again, so long as the writers want to heat them back up again. Only this time, include Bo Dallas (Bray Wyatt's real-life brother), along with the Bludgeon Brothers.

With Rowan currently on the sidelines, and Harper and Wyatt just not being used, there can be a creative turn of developments involving Bo and his current tag partner that eventually leads to the rebirth of the Wyatt Family.

18 Vince – MMA Horsewomen

Hans Gutknecht/Los Angeles Daily News

Oftentimes, Vince won't want to put a product or a tagline on his TV that he didn't create. Unless it could bring a heap of mainstream recognition to the product. Thankfully, "Rowdy" Ronda Rousey has excelled in the ring on the main roster. While she's the quintessential babyface, her buddy Shayna Baszler is a tough heel on NXT. The other two members of the MMA Horsewomen are training at the PC as well, and were involved in Baszler's NXT Women's Championship match against Kairi Sane at Evolution.

This means it will only be a matter of time before Vince seeks that mainstream exposure her again and Rousey is joined by Baszler, Marina Shafir, and Jessamyn Duke who are both now a part of NXT. Vince, Triple H, and the fans are all clamoring for an epic Horsewomen squad throwdown. Uniting these four is half of the equation.

17 Triple H – NXT Horsewomen

via youtube.com

The revolution started down in NXT. It started with Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair, Sasha Banks, and Bayley. This foursome of females squared off in various permutations that culminated with Bayley vs. Sasha in Brooklyn. The entire women's division has grown leaps and bounds thanks to all four of these ladies.

The time is now for them to join forces and push the division again to even bigger heights. Imagine Bayley and Sasha on Raw getting disgruntled over being overlooked and joining Becky who has felt the same way lately. Charlotte joins them because that's what friends are for and wham - the Horsewomen are born on the main roster.

16 Fans – The Broken Universe

via si.com

For a guy who claims to really give the fans what they want, the Chairman proved the opposite when it came to the Broken Hardys. Thanks to Matt and Broken Brilliance, the Hardys were wildly popular again in 2016. For all kinds of reasons, it took a while for the booking committee to allow Matt to become “Woken.” But by that time, Jeff was already on SmackDown.

While Matt is now retired, that doesn't mean the Broken Universe cannot be restored to its wonderful former and future self. That also doesn't mean that Brother Nero can't revert to his “spot monkey” gimmicks. With the utter ridiculousness of the whole premise, there's no limit to all kinds of things they can do. They could even add to the original faction if they wanted to add a full-time competitor to the equation.

15 Fans – The Kevin Owens Show

via wwe.com

While you can't necessarily be on top forever (unless you're a super top guy), guys like Kevin Owens tend to get lost in the shuffle far too often. That kind of stinks for an all-around great talent like Owens, who is still the only NXT guy to come on the main roster while on top of NXT as the champion. He was brought in as a top guy, so there was only one way to go.

He was seemingly coming back up on SmackDown Live, paired with Sami Zayn. Then they moved to Raw and were about to wreak havoc on the entire roster. Then Sami got injured. Owens has been treading water ever since. He’s off with an injury now as well. What better way to come back with Sami in tow, and reform the KO Show with an under-utilized heel to make it a faction?

14 Vince – Samoan Shield

via wwe.com

Similar to the Hart family, the Anoa’i family has also constantly been a presence in the WWE. Dating back to Peter Mavia and down the line - The Wild Samoans, Snuka, Yoko, Rikishi, and now the Usos, Nia Jax, Tamina, and of course, Roman Reigns. Toss in unrelated Samoa Joe and not only do the island people always have a place up north, but they also thrive. But there have never been enough Samoans at a time to have their own group.

Until now. Since The Shield is once again broken, once Roman comes back, perhaps it's time for the Samoans to completely take over Raw and SmackDown in a unique group that spans both shows, a fete that has never been down before.

13 Triple H – New DX

via wwe.com

We saw one final teaming up of Shawn Michaels and Triple H at Crown Jewel, but hopefully that's the last time we see the inaugural D-Generation X in action. Having said that though, it's definitely a concept that Triple H may want to explore in the WWE, especially with all the pet projects he's helped along. It would be tough for a D-X type of faction to exist on a PG product, but there are many talents capable of being entertaining while toeing that line. Perhaps a female version of the group, featuring the more rebellious characters could work, or a faction comprising of both men and women could provide a fresh take on the group.

12 Fans – Team Angle

via ewrestling.news

Shelton Benjamin and Chad Gable made a decent team. Gable and Jason Jordan weren't bad either. Now Kurt Angle is seemingly back in the mix full-time. Even if he isn't, it's time for a tough team of shoot fighters again. Team Angle needs to be reborn! One of the greatest aspects to these guys brings an element of smash mouth to the table since…perhaps the last time there was a Team Angle.

That realistic element is becoming increasingly lost to the respective “paint-by-numbers” style that a lot of guys use. With veterans like Angle and Benjamin and crowd favorites like a reunited Gable and Jordan, Team Angle would be able to bring back real wrestling to the masses.

11 Fans – The Current Bullet Club

via youtube.com

For the past few years around Wrestle Kingdom and Royal Rumble season, the reports abound about who, if anyone from New Japan is working their last Tokyo Dome show and will become a not-so-secret Royal Rumble entrant. There are currently at least five top names that are seemingly primed for the jump. Coincidentally or not, they're all members of The Bullet Club.

Hangman Page, Cody, The Young Bucks, and Kenny Omega are atop the wrestling world right now. The Guerillas Of Destiny aren't far behind. Anyone or all of these guys coming to the WWE is an inevitability. What better way to bring them in than to smash some of their old OGBC friends and force them to unite for an ultimate Bullet Brawl.

10 Vince – Foreign Heel Faction

via wwe.com

In today’s climate, a group of heel foreigners would be over as mega heels faster than you could say Perestroika. You'd also have to make the group a lot more PC than you would have during the '80s when you'd have guys like The Iron Sheik running around. Something more akin to the abysmal League Of Nations group, but better.

You could still have Sheamus in the group. But now you could add to the crew guys like Cesaro and Nakamura and have the crew be hard-hitting bad guys who could go in the ring. Considering just how global the company is these days, you could even flip who the heels and faces are depending on what country in, much like they did with the Hart Foundation.

9 Triple H – The Kliq

via wwe.com

Certainly, The Game loves running around with his boy, HBK as part of DX. Triple H has convinced the Showstopper to be a coach at NXT and he certainly had to have had a hand in getting Shawn Michaels out of retirement at Crown Jewel. Perhaps a true reformation of DX at the top would be a good thing for business, the fans, and Hunter’s friends.

We all know about the history of the Kliq. It's also something that has never been seen before in the storylines. Perhaps if only for one night, or one of these over-inflated overseas house shows, we can see the entire Kliq work some kind of brawl with a group of young upstarts.

8 Fans – Undisputed Era

via wwe.com

The Undisputed Era made their debut in Brooklyn in 2017. Several months later, Roderick Strong joined the trio and quartet began to decimate the NXT roster more than they already were. But Strong, Adam Cole, Bobby Fish, and Kyle O'Reilly came to NXT with tons of experience and were pretty much ready to take on the world.

While there might be a void in NXT if the Undisputed Era came up the main roster, these four would infuse either show with an element of a real dastardly heel unit that can also go in the ring. Perhaps someone from the main roster could be added to the group as well.

7 Fans – The Four Horsemen

via wwe.com

It seems completely strange that with the exception of Ole Anderson, every single Horseman had been a part of the WWE at some point or another. Factor in just how big a fan that Triple H is and you'd have to wonder how and why The Four Horsemen never made their way up north in some shape or form.

But what a moment it would be to see the quartet of deliverance ride again. Put Ric and/or Arn and put them in the J.J. Dillon spot. Put a defacto ring leader, such as a heel AJ Styles. Put in an 'enforcer' type role for Samoa Joe or Cesaro. Then grab a guy like Bobby Roode (he's already got the robes and the cockiness). Add in The Revival, or perhaps an underused talent like Dolph Ziggler used to be and you'd have a Horsemen squad for the ages.

6 Vince – More McMahon Drama

wordpress.com

Not so much of a faction as it is a storyline - the McMahons have been at each other's throats for the better part of twenty years, just like any other major soap opera. No matter the issue, the rosters, or the storylines, they all eventually have a McMahon or more involved. Just look at the recent Crown Jewel - non-active performer Shane McMahon is now considered the best in the world. And he wasn't even part of the tournament!

The Chairman always likes putting his family at odds, but what if he did it again, only this time as one big argumentative faction. It was would be a lot of fun watching the McMahon family implode every week while trying to do what's best for business.

5 Triple H – Evolution

via wwe.com

The idea of the Kliq is fun but slightly farfetched. As far as reforming Evolution, we already saw it done on SmackDown Live 1000. Perhaps Randy Orton can take the reins fully and take several of Triple H’s NXT stars and do for them what Triple H and Ric Flair did for him and Batista. Maybe even bring Flair back as the manager from time to time.

A new Evolution feels very much like a great fit for EC3, doesn't it? Maybe toss another vet in there like a Bobby Roode - he's all about stylin’ and profilin’. Someone like Kevin Owens or Samoa Joe would be great additions to the new Evolution, as the group would need some members who could really cut great promos.

4 Fans – The New Hart Foundation

via twitter.com

The Hart and McMahon families go together like peanut butter and jelly. With the exception of a brief lull in the early aughts, there has more or less always been at least one Hart in the company since the early eighties. Currently, Natalya doesn't only carry the torch of both her father and the entire Hart family, she is like the den mother of the entire women's division.

But over in MLW, the Hart Foundation is representing in full force. Teddy Hart, Davey Boy Smith Jr, and Brian Pillman Jr are tearing it up and honing their craft. Perhaps one day soon, the Pink and Black attack will join Nattie and run roughshod over the WWE yet again.

3 Fans – Dangerous Alliance

via twitter.com

Paul Heyman founded ECW. He helped galvanize and revolutionize an independent industry when it was about to be swallowed whole by WWE and WCW. He's written for the WWE and has been on-air character fairly consistently for almost 20 years now. On the other hand, Heyman’s legacy will always be ECW and ushering in the hardcore style in America.

Heyman also spent the early part of his career as Paul E. Dangerously. For a lot of old-school fans, the Dangerous Alliance was the jam. These guys not only filled the gap for WCW when there were no Horsemen, but they dominated and were the top heels. With Lesnar constantly MIA, and Heyman such a great mouthpiece, the time is right to put together a new Dangerous Alliance.

2 Vince – “Mega Faces”

via denogeek.com

Taking a page out of the Marvel Cinematic Universe (which, quite frankly, Vince has been doing long before the MCU was a thing), the Chairman could pair up several of his top babyfaces to form an Avengers-esque team of sorts. Like the Mega Powers, just with several more top stars.

Why not even trot out Hulk Hogan as a mouthpiece for the crew from time to time? Cena, Styles, and Roman should be getting a ton of sympathy chants when he comes back. Lashley could toss Lio Rush to the wolves and become a face again. This really seems like Vince's dream come true.

1 Triple H – NXT Invaders

via twitter.com

In the storylines, Steph runs Raw and Shane runs SmackDown. In real life, Triple H, of course, runs NXT. If Shane-O-Mac wants to have ridiculous hostile takeovers of the Red Brand, then perhaps it might be time for all of the SD guys who were once NXT guys to show their loyalty to The Game, and alongside roster-ready current NXT guys, take SmackDown Live over.

At least there'd be a storyline reason for a major NXT roster purge and roster shift that might shake up the whole company and get all the fans talking about the company again instead of complaining about it. For good measure, let everyone think this was entirely Triple H’s plan all along since the dawn of NXT.
