After Balor's first run in NXT, he moved to the main roster, where he had a decent run for three years. Other than winning the Universal Championship once, he also won the Intercontinental Championship twice. 10 NXT TakeOver: WarGames 2019: Finn Balor Vs Matt Riddle

When Finn Balor returned to NXT, he immediately turned heel, which was also the first heel turn of his NXT career. With the main roster run on his resume, he took shots at 'NXT boys', picking Matt Riddle as his opponent at the 2019 edition of NXT TakeOver: WarGames.

Both Riddle and Balor were impressive in that match and showed why they were among the two best performers of the brand. Riddle came close to the victory with a couple of submissions, but Balor survived. After a hard-fought battle of nearly 15 minutes, a 1916 gave Balor the victory.

9 Super ShowDown 2019: Demon Balor Vs Andrade

Finn Balor and Andrade had a rivalry for the Intercontinental Championship in 2019 when they crossed paths a couple of times. Likewise, the two men also fought for the belt at the 2019 edition of Super ShowDown.

Balor wrestled with his Demon King persona in that match, giving him an edge over the Mexican Superstar. It was a fast-paced bout with two agile men in the ring. Andrade showed his high-flying ability and even connected a Hammer Lock DDT, but it was not enough to pin the Demon. Eventually, Coup De Grace helped Balor to remain champion.

8 NXT TakeOver: The End 2016: Demon Balor Vs Samoa Joe

Finn Balor lost the NXT Championship to Samoa Joe at a live event, culminating in the final match of their rivalry at NXT TakeOver: The End. Meanwhile, the match hosted the first-ever steel cage match of the developmental brand. With two colossal names of the brand, the match was expected to steal the show and it did.

As Joe and Balor knew each other well from their previous encounters, the chemistry was visible in the steel cage match. Both men executed their best shots but overcame. While Balor kicked out of a Muscle Buster, Joe also did the same to the Coup de Grace. A second Muscle Buster from Joe handed him the win, and it also marked the first loss of Demon Balor.

7 TLC 2017: AJ Styles Vs Demon Balor

With AJ Styles and Finn Balor on the roster, the fans were pleading to see a match between these two men. Replacing Bray Wyatt, the original participant of the match, AJ Styles wrestled Finn Balor's alter ego, Demon Balor.

The match had everything the hardcore fans had asked for. Styles' Phenomenal Forearm wasn't enough to keep the demon down. Styles also kicked out of a picture-perfect 1916. The two-time WWE Champion, however, surrendered to a Coup De Grace from Balor. The match lasted over 18 minutes.

6 The Beast In The East 2015: Kevin Owens Vs Demon Balor

Kevin Owens was already on the main roster when he started his feud with Finn Balor for the NXT Championship. The two men crossed paths with the title on the line in Japan at The Beast In The East event.

Since Balor failed to win their first bout, he was determined not to make the same mistake again. In a battle of nearly 20 minutes, the match had several close calls. KO managed to kick out the first Coup De Grace from Balor, but the second one proved too much for him.

5 Money In The Bank 2019: Money In The Bank Ladder Match

The MITB ladder match in 2019 consisted of eight competitors, including Finn Balor. Despite the match having several other talented participants, Balor stole the show with his performance.

Balor used the ladder efficiently and came close to capturing the briefcase. The highlight of the match was when Andrade delivered a vicious Sunset Flip Powerbomb to Balor, and the latter bounced off the ladder. It was certainly one of the nastiest bumps he took in his WWE career.

3 Royal Rumble 2019: Finn Balor Vs Brock Lesnar

Stepping in the ring with Brock Lesnar is a goal for most wrestlers because he is one of the biggest names of the current generation. Although Lesnar's matches are usually short, he doesn't mind giving great matches against worthy opponents.

Likewise, one of the biggest matches of Balor's career took place at the 2019 Royal Rumble, where he took on Brock Lesnar for the Universal Championship. Surprisingly, Balor took the fight to Lesnar in ways not many people had expected. Lesnar ate a Coup De Grace, but he managed to kick out. Instead of ending the match with an F5, Lesnar forced Balor to submit with a Kimura Lock.

Presently, Finn Balor is having an astounding feud with Kyle O'Reilly. Their first match was held at NXT TakeOver 31, where the two Superstars tore each other apart in a hard-hitting match.

Kyle showed his talent as a singles competitor and went toe-to-toe with the NXT Champion. The extremely physical bout resulted in real injuries to both men. While Balor fractured his jaw, Kyle also suffered a couple of other injuries. Balor prevailed at the end of the match, which lasted over 28 minutes.

The stakes were sky-high for the first-ever Universal Championship match between Seth Rollins and Finn Balor. Two seasoned in-ring performers of the roster didn't disappoint the fans, as it was an incredible match.

The match had several jaw-dropping, high-flying moves. Unfortunately, Balor suffered a legitimate injury during the match, but he still finished the match to become the first-ever Universal Champion.
