Finn Balor is one of the most successful wrestlers to ever work in NXT, helping to build the brand to the point it's at now, and recently returning to continue helping it grow. He's put on some amazing matches, had countless top storylines, and become one of the most popular wrestlers in the history of the brand.

His arrival helped open the door for other top talents around the world to follow in his footsteps. However, while he's achieved an awful lot in his NXT career, as a two-time NXT Champion, there are actually a number of things that Balor has yet to do on the black and gold brand.

10 Win The NXT Tag Team Championships

Samoa Joe and Finn Balor

Sure, Finn Balor is a singles wrestler, but he has worked in a tag team for NXT. He and Samoa Joe worked together to win the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic, but they never went on to win tag team gold.

There are tons of options over who could potentially team with Balor, as he can work as both a babyface and a heel. However, seeing him in the tag team division would be a huge shot in the arm for all the tag team wrestlers, as it would put a lot of eyes on the product.

9 Compete Inside WarGames

War Games

WarGames has become a staple for NXT in the past few years, with the black and gold brand bringing the legendary stipulation back. It's created some amazing matches and moments, but Finn Balor has yet to step inside the structure.

Obviously, now that Balor is back in NXT full-time, there's a good chance that this could end up happening down the line. With his in-ring ability, there's no doubt that he would be brilliant inside this steel structure.

8 Two Out Of Three Falls

Finn Balor

Speaking of a classic NXT stipulation, arguably the most important match type for the black and gold brand is the Two-Out-Of-Three Falls match. The brand has put on plenty of these throughout its history, with some really impressive ones happening.

It has become a staple of NXT, and it is quite surprising that someone who has played such an instrumental part in NXT's history hasn't had one. Considering Finn's talent and stamina, this is something that he would excel at.

7 A Five Star Match

Something else that Finn Balor is yet to achieve inside the ring for NXT is a five-star match. Dave Meltzer's ratings are still seen as a massive deal within the industry, and earning a five-star rating is a sign of an amazing match.

While Balor has come close to achieving that goal at points, he hasn't actually managed a five-star match during his NXT career. Considering his ability inside the ring, this is something he will be pushing to achieve at some point.

6 Match Of The Year

On a similar line to never having a five-star match, Finn Balor has also never earned the 'Match of the Year' honor at the NXT Year-End Awards. While Balor has been the 'Male Wrestler of the Year,' and best 'Overall Competitor of the Year,' he hasn't won the award for a match.

He came close during his first year in the company as he had several matches nominated. However, this is something that he hasn't actually won at this stage of his career.

5 Had A Cinematic Match

Even NXT got in on the cinematic match action in 2020, much like the rest of the wrestling world. However, Finn Balor wasn't involved in any of those matches, instead, focusing on normal in-ring wrestling.

It's a shame that Balor hasn't been involved in any of the cinematic matches considering his Demon gimmick would be perfect for one of them if done right. However, with full arenas still a long way away, there's time for this to potentially happen.

4 Wrestle WALTER

Finn Balor and WALTER

While there are lots of wrestlers on the NXT roster that he hasn't faced, WALTER is the big one that stands out. Finn Balor has made it clear publicly that this is the one match he wants to have, and WWE did tease it ahead of NXT UK Takeover: Dublin.

Obviously, that show was postponed due to COVID-19, and WWE could return to this idea down the line. However, whether it's at Takeover or a different point, this is very much a match people want to see.

3 Compete For UK Gold

Finn Balor

Speaking of the NXT UK brand, while he has appeared on a UK Takeover, Finn Balor has never actually challenged for any NXT UK Championships. Whether it be the tag division or the singles, this is something that audiences would certainly love to see.

Considering Balor is Irish, there's a very obvious and engaging storyline that can be told with Balor being involved in NXT UK. He doesn't have to stop competing in America to do it either, as being part of both shows would be huge.

2 Have A Faction

Finn Balor is predominantly a singles guy, but there's no denying his huge history with factions. Finn was the original leader of Bullet Club and he also created the Balor Club during his spell on the main roster.

However, in NXT, Balor has never actually led a faction. This is something that would certainly be very interesting, as Balor would be great in this role at some point, helping some other talents get the 'Finn rub' as he describes it.

1 Win The North American Championship

While Finn Balor is a two-time NXT Champion, he hasn't ever managed to get hold of the North American Championship. The title might be seen as the 'second' title in the brand, but it has a rich and prestigious lineage already.

Balor would be a brilliant holder for the title, which is hel in high esteem by fans and those within the company. Now that he's in NXT again, this is no doubt something that will be on his mind.
