WWE superstar Finn Balor saw his Universal championship reign and big push stall in late 2016 when a torn labrum in his shoulder sidelined him for eight months. Balor has been back for seven months now, but hasn’t gotten the main event since returning from injury.

The rumor regarding why is that Vince McMahon doesn’t think Balor is “over enough” right now, which is why he’s been stuck as a mid-card performer.

Balor must have heard these reports, or been told by Vince himself that he’s not over because he posted this salty tweet, seemingly directed at the chairman.

This comes a day after Balor also posted this salty tweet.

While Balor has been held back as a main event star, the push for Roman Reigns hasn’t stopped. McMahon appears so desperate to put Reigns over once and for all, that The Shield is now reunited. It is the only time Reigns ever gets the crowd behind him, after all.

Balor has gone through plenty of brief feuds since returning, including Bray Wyatt, Elias Samson, Samoa Joe, and AJ Styles. Balor is one of the top all-around wrestlers and draws tremendous crowd reactions, so it’s hard to envision why McMahon thinks The Demon King isn’t over right now.

Balor was also a non-factor for Team Raw in the 5-on-5 interbrand match at Survivor Series, further suggesting that the creative team doesn’t have big plans for him at this time.

Unfortunately for Balor, the next pay-per-view event that features Raw superstars is the Royal Rumble—which is still two months away. Unless the writers are planning to have Balor win it, then it’s hard to see a scenario where they give him an immediate push in the near future.

The Demon King obviously hasn’t pleased Vince enough since returning. We’ll see if Balor does whatever it takes to finally receive the main push to get “over” once and for all.
