After Finn Balor become the very first Universal Champion at SummerSlam 2016, it was an obvious sign that Vince McMahon and the creative team saw him as a guy who would get over and carry the company to another level.

However, a labrum tear in his shoulder forced Balor to miss eight months, and he didn't return until April of this year. Since returning, Balor has yet to re-capture the championship and hasn't been in the main event picture much.

The reason? Dave Meltzer of  Wrestling Observer Radio is reporting that Vince McMahon doesn't think Balor is "over enough" for the time being. That prompted Balor to share a rather salty statement on Twitter:

It's easy to understand Balor's apparent frustration. He was given the first Universal Championship reign, recovered from injury to get back and has been put under the likes of Roman Reigns and Jinder Mahal - whom fans aren't really sold on.

Balor has already faced top talents like Samoa Joe, Cesaro, A.J. Styles, Bray Wyatt and Chris Jericho. WWE has constantly shuffled its main event star lineup, ranging from Reigns to Seth Rollins to Braun Strowman to Seth Rollins and so on, so forth. Balor received some of the largest crowd reactions, and his resume of opponents conquered suggest that he actually is over.

This is another case of McMahon and much of the WWE Universe not seeing eye-to-eye. Fans have made it clear they won't accept Reigns as the face of the company, while Cesaro is more than worthy of a main event push. Now, McMahon is holding Balor back for two of his personal favorites in Reigns and Mahal.

Balor made it clear how salty he is on Twitter, and we know how easy it is for Vince to get offended. Here's hoping he ignores the tweet and instead decides to give Balor that big push back.
