WWE superstar Roman Reigns has missed nearly the past month with a mumps virus. He even had to sit out The Shield's reunion match against Team Miz at TLC, and was replaced with Raw GM Kurt Angle.

The plan was for Reigns to join Angle's Team Raw in the 5-on-5 elimination tag match at Survivor Series, but it appears that the creative team has pulled the plug on that hope. According to Marc Middleton of WrestlingInc.com, the spoilers from tonight's Raw tapings in Manchester, England have revealed that Reigns will not be part of Angle's team at Survivor Series.

Heading into tonight's episode of Raw, Angle and Braun Strowman were the only members announced for the red team. Finn Balor and Samoa Joe wrestled in a match that ends with no contest. Angle announces that both men will represent Team Raw at Survivor Series.

There is also a backstage promo between Angle and his storyline son, Jason Jordan. The Raw GM formally declares Jordan as the fifth and final member of Team Raw. With that, the red team will face Shane McMahon, Randy Orton, Bobby Roode, Shinsuke Nakamura and someone to be determined.

With Reigns unlikely to compete at Survivor Series now, The Shield's reunion will likely be delayed even further. Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose are were set to face The Usos in an all-tag team champions match. However, Cesaro and Sheamus regained the titles on the European tour, and will face The Usos instead.

Bray Wyatt also suffered the mumps virus and had to miss his match against Finn Balor at TLC. He was replaced by A.J. Styles, who would lose to The Demon King. With Reigns not medically cleared to compete, the creative team simply had to move forward and quickly.

The WWE can only hope that Reigns is medically cleared before long, so the epic Shield reunion can happen once and for all. In the meantime, we'll see if Jason Jordan can help guide Team Raw to victory.
