The stables in WWE have often given birth to some really memorable segments throughout the history of its programming, with many superstars being created with their great work as part of a stable. In WWE, we have seen many superstars being grouped together when things weren’t working so well for them individually. There have been some iconic stables created in the company’s history, with their extremely entertaining work winning over many fans during the entirety of the stable’s stint together.

While there have been some highly entertaining and memorable members of some great WWE stables that have gone on to have legendary careers, there were also a good amount of underwhelming members of stables who failed to get over properly with the fans. These rarely remembered members have not been in the minds of fans because of how insignificant their role was as part of some of these stables. Many factions in WWE have had superstars who completely failed to impress as part of the group. These wrestlers also had a hard time succeeding after being removed from their stables, and would eventually fall into obscurity, leading to their departures from WWE.

There have been quite a few members of memorable WWE stables who have been forgotten by the WWE fans over the years, and here we will have a look at 20 such individuals.

20 Sawyer Fulton

via ewrestling.com

Sanity has enjoyed a really topsy-turvy time in WWE so far, as they were dominant in NXT but have gone sour after arriving on Smackdown. Regardless of their position on the main roster, Sawyer Fulton must be ruing not being able to make the full mile with the stable. Fulton was actually one of the finding members of Sanity in 2016, when he, Alexander Wolfe, Nikki Cross, and Eric Young started terrorizing NXT superstars together. But constant injuries and layoffs disrupted his momentum at NXT, which forced WWE to banish him from the group. Fulton was replaced with Killian Dain and later released from WWE, as fans have already forgotten about his underwhelming stint as part of the crazy group.

19 Kurrgan

via wwe.com

Kurrgan won't be remembered by WWE  fans other than the hardcore followers of the Attitude Era, who would have to have a sharp memory to remember Kurrgan, a member of The Oddities.

The Oddities was a weird stable that often used their intimidating nature to creep teams out while entertaining the audience. At 7 feet tall, Kurrganwas actually the second largest man in the stable, after giant Silva. The Oddities failed, as the stable didn’t really last very long in WWE. Kurrgan would almost immediately be released by WWE after The Oddities were disbanded. He has since transitioned into acting, which has brought him marginal success.

18 Bam Neely

Despite having competed in WWE during the Ruthless Aggression, Bam Neely is a superstar fans barely remembered because of his unconvincing he was during his stint at WWE. Neely attained a bit of fame after he was recruited by Chavo Guerrero to be his bodyguard and backup for La Familia, which was the stable made up by Edge and Vickie Guerrero. While Neely mostly competed in WWE’s ECW and often tagged with Chavo as well, he was an able backup for La Familia because of his intimidating size and strength. But after the stable disbanded, nobody really remembered Neely ever being a part of it as he’s become a long-forgotten superstar because of the complete lack of impact he had in WWE.

17 Tori

via villains.wikia.com

D-Generation X was a stable which added many members during the Attitude Era and at a point, they even added Tori to their group. Tori was a wrestler who initially gained fame as Sable’s “fan” and used her strength to dominate many women on the roster. She later transitioned into Kane’s girlfriend, before turning on him and siding with X-Pac, who was part of DX at the time. This allowed Tori to also be part of the menacing stable for a brief period, as she used her heel mannerism very well as part of DX. But her stint with the stable was cut short after Tori was sidelined with an injury, with her underwhelming work making her DX’s forgotten member.

16 Michael Tarver

via twitter.com

It could be probably determined that Michael Tarver was probably the least interesting aspect of the Nexus when they debuted in stunning fashion all those years ago, as he wasn’t that good in the ring and had a weak personality. While Tarver was prominently featured in WWE programming early on because of the Nexus’ impact, he was later sent packing by John Cena after which Wade Barrett banished him from the group. Tarver went back to FCW(Florida Championship Wrestling) territory, with his lack of improvement forcing WWE to release him from the company afterward. Tarver became the only rookie from NXT season one to not have returned to the WWE ring, with his underwhelming work making fans forget about his involvement with the Nexus.

15 Mideon

via wwe.com

Mideon was probably one of the more creepier members of the Ministry of Darkness back in the Attitude era and after performing as Phineas Godwinn, he would go through a stark change after attempting to kick-start a singles career in WWE. He was taken by the Ministry’s Acolytes Protection Agency (APA) before being reformed as Mideon, who was another disciple for the Undertaker during the Phenom’s dark phase in the WWE. Mideon often teamed up with Viscera to represent the Ministry and even “won” the European Championship once during that stint. But after the Ministry of Darkness was abruptly disbanded, Mideon fell into obscurity and has since become a highly forgettable figure because of the little impact he made as part of the stable.

14 Ezekiel Jackson

via pinterest.com

Ezekiel Jackson was quite the well-presented superstar in WWE because of his physique and strength, as he was added to be part of The Corre after moving to Smackdown in 2010. He was often used as the muscles of the group, obliterating many opponents in his way and also helping the leader Wade Barrett assert himself as a top star on the brand. Jackson was probably among the best things about The Corre, but the group later turned on him to turn him into a babyface. While Jackson would go onto win the Intercontinental Championship after leaving the stable, his stint as part of the stable has been forgotten, something which WWE almost planned for to happen.

13 Pete Gas

via greenwichfreepress.com

Along with Rodney and Joey Abs, Pete Gas debuted in WWE as part of this stable called “Mean Street Posse”, with their gimmick showing them to be from an upper-class background and more sophisticated than others. It was actually their good friend Shane McMahon who helped them get into WWE and despite having no wrestling skill whatsoever, the Mean Street Posse was often used as protection for Shane O Mac’. But their inability to wrestle turned fans off quickly enough, as neither of the Mean Street Posse did anything spectacular in their career. Gas and his buddies have since been long-forgotten by the fans, with the Mean Street Posse itself having become a thing of the past.

12 Savio Vega

via wwe.com

Savio Vega was a decent mid-carder for WWE during the 90s, when he attained a bit of prominence after joining the Nation of Domination when his career was declining. Vega turned on his partner Ahmed Johnson to join the stable and was mostly a stooge for Farooq who wrestled in tag team matches. Vega failed to win the Tag Team Championship as part of the Nation and was mostly used to aid Farooq in winning matches. But after he continued to lose matches for the Nation, Vega was expelled after a few months with the stable. After that, he created his own stable in Los Boricuas, which didn’t work well either and Vega has since become a vastly forgotten wrestler among the fans.

11 Bull Buchanan

via wwe.com

Bull Buchanan was part of quite a few stables in his WWE career, as he came up from the Independent scene and formed “The Truth Commission” after debuting in the company. While that stable flopped in WWE and didn’t work so well, Buchanan would later also become a part of “Right To Censor” and be used as the muscles of the group. Buchanan also won the WWE Tag Team Championships with “The Goodfather” as part of the stable and did some decent work during his stint with the group. But Buchanan would later find himself riddled with problems after Right to Censor disbanded, after which he again fell into obscurity and has since become vastly-forgotten former WWE superstar.

10 Justin Gabriel

via twitter.com

He might’ve seemed like a wrestler with tons of potential, but Justin Gabriel could never really fulfill his best potential in his years at WWE. Gabriel initially debuted with a bang when he attacked John Cena and formed the Nexus with his NXT buddies, and enjoyed decent success by winning the Tag Team Championship multiple times as well. Gabriel later went onto be a part of The Corre as well, but that wasn’t really that fruitful at all. He failed to assert himself as a singles star and would only put over other up and coming wrestlers in his final years. Gabriel had become a completely forgotten superstar when he left WWE in 2015, with many forgetting his stint with those stables.

9 Serena

via ringsidenews.com

Serena made quite the stunning debut in the WWE when she popped out of the crowd on Smackdown and pleaded her allegiance to CM Punk’s straight edge society. Serena would complete the “clean” stable with her addition and she often used her unpredictable behavior to help Punk win matches in the brand. Serena competed in some matches herself, but problems arose between her and the stable towards the end. But she was surprisingly released towards the end of 2010 for not “living out her gimmick” in public, as she was allegedly caught drinking in public places. Serena returned to WWE recently for the Mixed Match challenge, but her stint as a member of the Straight Edge Society has been long forgotten.

8 Mason Ryan

via twitter.com

With an intimidating physique and impressive strength, Mason Ryan looked like a valuable addition to the new Nexus which was lead by CM Punk in 2011. Ryan was brought onto be a bodyguard of sorts for Punk, who used his powerful follower for his own benefits. Ryan dominated many a superstar during his stint as part of the Nexus, but injuries were his bane and eventually led to him having to leave the group. Ryan’s career declined after he started his career as a singles competitor and couldn’t impress without someone guiding him. He’s become a completely forgotten figure among fans after leaving WWE a few years ago, as barely anyone remembering him as part of the Nexus.

7 Crush

via wwe.com

Crush was quite the prominent monster heel in WWE during the 90s, when he was involved in many storylines and made to use his impressive strength to good use. Crush was also made to be part of the Nation of Domination during the Monday Night Wars when he recruited by Farooq, who was impressed by his strength. But Crush’s stint as a member of the Nation of Domination was relatively short-lived, as he was expelled from the group after losing to Goldust at the King of the Ring event in 1997. He would later create his own stable called “Disciples of Apocalypse” which failed badly and despite being an able monster heel, Crush has become a bygone figure among the fans.

6 Eli Cottonwood

via ecwfrenchtribute.free.fr

Things could’ve been very different for the Wyatt Family had WWE persisted with Eli Cottonwood as part of the stable, as the former NXT rookie was actually paired up with Bray Wyatt initially on NXT. Wyatt had “recruited” Cottonwood to be his first disciple back in NXT, and despite appearing alongside the Eater of Worlds in promos and in a few matches as well, Cottonwood didn’t impress officials enough to remain in the stable. He was discreetly sidelined from the family once Wyatt got injured, with many fans not even remembering him as a member of the stable. Cottonwood currently has his own gym business and is a forgotten figure among fans, which could’ve been averted had he gotten over back then.

5 King Kong Bundy

via wfmz.com

Ted DiBiase got a real coup for the Million Dollar Corporation in late 1994, when he added the terrorizing King Kong Bundy in an attempt to make his stable even more powerful. Bundy returned to WWE after a few years away from the company and formed a dangerous team with Bam Bam Bigelow in the process. Bundy was used well under the guidance of Ted DiBiase, as he helped elevate the Million Dollar Corporation’s reputation by himself. But WWE discreetly removed Bundy from the stable to give him a singles push in which he put over many stars. Bundy’s disappointing last few months in his second stint completely ruined his momentum and turned him into a vastly forgotten member of the Million dollar corporation.

4 Sgt. Slaughter

via sportsday.dallasnews.com

Sgt. Slaughter was always known to be a man took matters into his own hands, and he was a very “hands-on” Commissioner of Raw after returning to WWE in 1997. It was during his stint as an authority figure that he feuded with DX, but later shocked everyone by turning heel and joining Vince McMahon’s Corporation after being against him for so long. Slaughter imitated Gerald Briscoe and Pat Patterson in being lackeys for Vince McMahon and misused his power as a commissioner to cause problems for Vince’s rivals like Steve Austin. Slaughter’s stint at the stable was cut short after he relinquished his role as commissioner and left WWE in 1998, becoming a forgotten member of the Corporation in the process.

3 Taka Michinoku

via wwe.com

Who was once a highly reputed wrestler in Japan, Taka Michinoku’s talents weren’t really used well by WWE, who gave him a stereotypical gimmick even before he could prove himself. Michinoku was initially given a decent push, winning the Light Heavyweight Championship soon after arriving. Following that, he started feuding with Kaientai, before surprisingly joining them to take part in some peculiar segments with Val Venis. Michinoku looked a serious threat as leader of this Japanese stable for a while, but Kaentai disbanded prematurely after Dick Togo, Mens Teioh and the Yamaguchi’s were all released by WWE. Michinoku would then be transitioned into a comic character, which made everyone quickly forget his character as the leader of the stable.

2 Ahmed Johnson

via allwrestlingsuperstars.com

Ahmed Johnson will prominently be remembered for his stint as the first-ever African-American Intercontinental Champion in WWE history in WWE during the mid-90s. Johnson was never really given big opportunities because of his injury-prone nature, which also disallowed him from being a more prominent part of the New Nation of Domination. Johnson initially feuded against the Nation of Domination, but later joined the New Nation after turning heel. But he barely had any time as part of the group as he soon got injured after joining them and was ousted after he returned from injury. Those last days of Johnson’s career are barely remembered, with nobody really even knowing he was a part of the Nation of Domination.

1 Tatanka

After his infamous undefeated streak which stretched almost over a year ended, Tatanka’s reputation took a bit of a blow, with his failure to get over not allowing WWE to push him to the top. Tatanka would later swerve everyone in 1994 by turning on his tag team partner at the time in Lex Luger and joining The Million Dollar Corporation, turning heel for the first time in his career. But unlike the other Corporation members, Tatanka couldn’t really fit himself in that well with the stable, with his lack of charisma and heelish demeanor hurting him. He was only part of it for a few months and Tatanka’s underwhelming work as part of it makes him a forgotten member of the stylish stable.
