Former WWE professional wrestler Tom Magee was sent to the hospital and is in stable but not wonderful condition after a parking dispute almost cost him his life. Magee was beaten severely in front of his Mar Vista home Tuesday and neighbors said had they not come out to see what was going on, Magee likely would have been killed in the six-on-one attack. CBS Los Angeles reports as many as six young men beat Magee and then ran off when neighbours came to see what was going on. Reports are the police have started making arrests in the case and Magee is trying to recover. He will be 60 in July.

Today, Magee looks nothing like he did back when he was a professional wrestler and weighed 265 pounds but even if he had, it's unlikely he would have stood a chance against six different attackers.

Neighbors described their relationship with Magee as knowing he was a former pro wrestler but also the local neighborhood watchdog. One witness and Magee's friend, Kendall Noxxel said, "Tom came and encountered the young men, and it proceeded to a fight." Another neighbor who saw everything but didn't want to talk on camera said it was a horrendous scene.

Magee suffered a broken jaw, broken eye socket and concussion in the attack after being kicked and punched in the head repeatedly. When the neighbors finally got to Magee, he was incoherent.

"To me, it was attempted murder. If we wouldn't have come out here I don't know if he would be alive. To look at his face if you saw his face right now and saw what they were doing to him, he's really lucky to be alive," the neighbor said.

Of the arrests LAPD has made so far, they have two suspects in custody and are identified as Justin Lee, 20, and Degrate Bryant, also 20. Both are being booked on charges of assault with a deadly weapon.

As of this story, reports are that Magee is out of the hospital and recovering at home.
