Jim Ross, one of the best wrestling commentators of all time, has been in the business for decades now. Everyone enjoys hearing him call matches, and even though there are fans who don't think he should really do much commentary work now, Ross is still one of the best who have ever called a match.

The current AEW senior commentator, who once worked for WWE, has seen almost everything that has happened in the business from his very eyes. And a lot of the times, JR just uttered something very random, or off the cuff that had viewers laughing and still quote to this day. The following are some of the top examples of it.

10 Jim Ross Predicts Lita & Edge's Future

WrestleMania X-Seven was one of the greatest wrestling pay-per-views of all time. At the show, fans witnessed the first-ever WrestleMania TLC match between Edge and Christian vs The Dudley Boyz vs The Hardy Boyz.

During the match, Lita came to the ring and pulled Edge down from the ladder. And Ross, whether he intended to say this particular line in that order, said: "And Lita jerking Edge off... the ladder." Knowing that Edge and Lita became a couple down the line obviously brings a whole new meaning to this line.

9 Not The Dippin' Dots!

At Revolution 2020, Jake Hager defeated Dustin Rhodes in a singles match. But before their bout, on Dynamite, these two wrestlers had a brawl. They took things to the food court and at one point, Hager pushed Rhodes to the Dippin' Dots stand.

And at that moment, Ross made one of his best calls in recent times. First, he said "For the love of God, stay away from Dippin Dots" and when Hager pushed Rhodes to the stand, Ross uttered, "Those damn Dippin Dots didn't do anything to anybody." Only JR could pull off a ridiculous line like this.

8 JR Amazed By Rikishi

Rikishi 2000

Vince McMahon has made many wrestlers kiss his back as part of the controversial Kiss My Ass Club. But one night, the tables turned on him one night when The Rock made McMahon kiss Rikishi's backside.

When Rikishi was posing on his way to the ring, Ross made one of the best calls of his career and rattles off one liner after one liner, like "Look at the size of that ass!", "Foreign objects hanging everywhere!" or when Vince's face finally hit Rikishi's cheeks, "Thank God! There is a God in this world!".

7 Billy Gunn Gets More Than He Bargained For

Before the match between The Rock and Billy Gunn began at SummerSlam 1999, Billy revealed that Rock would be kissing a woman's backside when he lost the match. But things didn't go the way he wanted.

The Rock ended up shoving Gunn's face to the woman's backside. And Ross hilariously delivered his line of "The Rock just put Billy Gunn's face in that large women's ass!" For good measure, Ross added, "I bet she liked it."

6 She's Too Old For You

During the early stages of Mickie James's WWE career, Jim Ross once passed a one-liner to Jerry Lawler who had his eyes on the Diva.

Ross just randomly said "King! She's in her 20s. She's too old for you.". This was an inside joke that not all fans may have caught, as the King let's say has a particular dating history we won't get into. Ross had a knack of sometimes delivering inside jokes that only smart fans or the boys in the back would understand.

5 The Dairy Queen

One night on Raw in 2001, "Stone Cold" Steve Austin was celebrating retaining his title against Kurt Angle at SummerSlam with his Alliance colleagues throwing him a Stone Cold Appreciation Party. However, on this night, Angle crashed the party. He didn't come alone as he had brought a whole milk truck with him.

Angle then soaked The Alliance members with every drop of milk he had brought. And Jim Ross made another funny call when he said "The billion dollar princess has become a dairy queen!", referencing Stephanie McMahon who was covered with milk all over her body.

4 Vince McMahon Reveals Himself To Be The Greater Power

When Vince McMahon revealed himself to be the Greater Power in WWE, JR made yet another great call on commentary. It was simple enough, but the way he delivered it just sticks with fans

Right after McMahon unveiled himself and said in his most sinister voice, "It's me Austin!", a raging Ross yelled, "Aw, son of a b----." Whether Ross reacted that way because the reveal was a big disappointment for fans, or the fact that McMahon in kayfabe pulled the wool over everyone's eyes, Ross's line gets funnier and funnier the more you hear it.

3 Why Triple H, Why?

Most of Jim Ross' finest moments in commentary came when something happened to "Stone Cold" Steve Austin, who is notably one of his closest friends in the business, which was mentioned quite often on television. When someone took out Austin by running over him with a car, The Texas Rattlesnake missed many months of in-ring action.

Upon his return, Rikishi revealed himself to be the attacker. But after some time, Triple H admitted to being the real mastermind behind the attack. Ross, who was very affected by the betrayal, then screamed: "Someone tell me why, dammit... tell me why, Triple H, you son of a b----! Why?"

2 Shawn Michaels Hits Vince McMahon To The Head

Mr. McMahon faced Shawn Michaels at WrestleMania 22. It wasn't one of HBK's WrestleMania clinics, but the match worked well for what it was. To add some comedy to the match, Vince had a large frame of his Muscle and Fitness magazine cover at the ringside. Michaels picked that up giant poster and hit him over the head, breaking the poster.

On commentary, Jim Ross, who hated how McMahon treated him during the build to this feud, called the action, and said, "Hit him in the head with it, and then shove it up his a--! How would that be?"

1 Jim Is Hyped About Skittles

Jim Ross hyping up for Skittles is something that only he could pull off. Skittles has often been one of WWE's sponsors for shows and JR was really showing some love for this particular sponsor.

He would show his unconditional love for it and would say always something along the lines of "I love these, all fruity, delicious, delicious, fruity, fruity, oh they're fruity, they're Skittles!" If Skittles ever become a sponsor for Dynamite, they know they've got the best person to advertise for them.
