The Big Red Machine, aka Mayor Kane, had one of the most legendary careers in the history of WWE, if not wrestling. His ring entrance was intense. The fire. The music. The red lights. Then, a seven-foot-tall man in a mask walks down to the ring and lays a beating on everyone in it. Kane was serious business.

Well, most of the time. WWE is filled with comedic moments but those moments are even funnier when the person involved is generally regarded as serious. Many of the funniest moments in WWE came from Kane doing things against character

10 I'll Have What He's Having

The Team Hell No era was filled with ridiculous moments between Daniel Bryan and Kane. One of their best segments was a diner scene where they were eating together, discussing how much they enjoyed making their opponents scream in pain.

The duo began emulating their favorite screams, much to chagrin of the other patrons. This homage to When Harry Met Sally was punctuated with the late Mae Young delivering the line, "I'll have exactly what they're having."

9 Suck It

The classic Attitude Era team known as DX has gone through a variety of line up changes. At one point, it consisted of X-Pac, Road Dogg, and Kane. During this time in DX's history, Kane was still mute from the fire that scarred him as a child.

It's easy to forget how dark his kayfabe backstory is. On an episode of Raw in 1999, X-Pac prompted his friend and tag partner Kane to speak his first words without technological assistance: Suck it. The crowd lost their minds.

8 I'm Going To Disneyland

Daniel Bryan and Kane made a dysfunctional and successful tag team. After a huge championship victory, Kane and Bryan were backstage with AJ Lee and their therapist, Dr. Shelby.

As Shelby mediated the conversation, he asked them to congratulate each other on their win. Bryan obliged but Kane walked away. Naturally, Bryan started freaking out and yelling at everyone, so much so that he didn't see Kane come up behind him with a giant container of what was presumably Gatorade and dumped it on the group. Then, he giddily declared he was going to Disneyland and ran off.

7 Pete Rose

One of the strangest rivalries in WWE/WWF history is the one between Kane and baseball's Pete Rose. Every time Rose showed up, the scene generally ended with a tombstone piledriver from Kane.

The one that started it all happened at WrestleMania XIV in 1998, and was followed by series of seemingly random Pete Rose appearances over the years. He would occasionally attempt to interfere in Kane's matches, sometimes while wearing a chicken costume.

6 If You Smell What Kane Is Cooking

Back in the WWE in the early 2000s, Hulk Hogan and The Rock became tag partners to face the NWO. At that time, it was made up of Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and X-Pac. Hogan and The Rock needed a third partner for a match, who turned out to be Kane.

The Rock tried being The Rock to him but things went sideways when Kane started breaking out catchphrases from both iconic wrestlers. Kane delivered the lines beautifully, followed by a series of Hogan-esque poses. The crowd went wild.

5 Kane Loves Canned Pasta

WWE loves product tie ins and getting more mainstream recognition for their wrestlers. One of the strangest commercials a WWE Superstar ever did was Kane appearing in Chef Boyardee ad in 2001. In full costume with mask and clad in an apron, Kane pulls four cans of Chef Boyardee pasta out of the cupboard.

He sets them down on the table, then does his traditional fire starting move and sends jets of pasta into the air. Kane then tries to eat the pasts but can't get the spoon through his mask. The cornball commercial ends with an oddly glib shrug from The Devil's Favorite Demon.

4 Kane Celebrates With Santino

Keeping in mind that he was also a fantastic wrestler, Santino Marella was arguably the best comedic character in WWE. He partnered with Vladimir Kozlov and Tamina was his kayfabe girlfriend at this point. The Big Show and Kane came down to ringside to support Santino as he faced off against a member of The Corre.

Santino won, then started celebrating with his team using his traditional trumpet victory dance. It was ludicrous enough when Big Show joined in but when Kane started, the whole thing went off the rails.

3 Kane-a-rooine

Booker T is one of the greatest wrestlers of all time, both in singles competition and as a tag team wrestler. One of his best teams was alongside Goldust, another industry legend. As they faced off against the Unamericans, which consisted of Lance Storm, Christian, and the late Test, Kane came down to the ring to back Booker T and Goldust up.

They prevailed and Booker celebrated with a good ol' fashioned spinaroonie. Not to be outdone, Kane broke out the inaugural Kane-a-roonie. It was super awkward, which made the moment even funnier.

2 Kane Lights It Up

A big part of the Kane gimmick is his ability to summon fire and brimstone, aka huge pyro. On a July 4th episode of SmackDown, Santino was trying to light a barbecue so he could grill some delicious Independence Day offerings for the roster.

Unfortunately, he couldn't get the grill lit. That's when Kane walked in. The Big Red Machine pulled his fire and brimstone move, causing flames to shoot out of the barbecue. He walked out of the room without saying a word.

1 Counselling With Dr. Shelby

Team Hell No was one of the most engaging pairings in WWE. Rarely do fans end up chanting, "Hug it out" at wrestlers. Dr. Shelby played a huge part in this team as their counselor, bringing them into group sessions to help mitigate their anger and make them a better team.

One of the greatest moments of this arc was Kane explaining his bleak family history to a room full of people with relatively normal problems. Kane's story shouldn't be funny but it was in this context.
