The San Francisco 49ers defeated the Pittsburgh Steelers 24-20 on Sunday, earning their first 3-0 start since the 1998 season, and star tight end George Kittle was feeling it after the close victory.

After the game, Kittle performed an excellent impersonation of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson, asking if we "smell what the 49ers are cooking."

We sure are, George. We sure are.

How can you not smell what San Francisco has been cooking lately? They're one of the only seven undefeated teams in the NFL through three weeks, with a super plus-42 point differential.

The Rock is widely regarded as the greatest microphone master in the history of WWE. He always brought the crowd to their feet with his epic promos and catchphrases. "If you smell what The Rock is cooking" became his signature line - which the People's Champion usually uttered to close out a promo.

There has been no shortage of WWE references in the professional sports world lately. Last week, Cleveland Browns star Myles Garrett performed Shawn Michaels' signature pose in last week's Monday nighter against the New York Jets.

And last week, Chicago Cubs All-Star slugger Anthony Rizzo used The Undertaker's entrance theme as his walk-up song when he returned to action in a home game against the St. Louis Cardinals. But without a doubt, Kittle's impression of The Rock takes the cake as the impression of a WWE superstar by an athlete here in 2019.

Kittle recorded 1,377 receiving yards last season, the most ever for a tight end in a single year. He's currently at 17 receptions for 165 yards through three games, so it already looks like Little won't come close to repeating those numbers. But who cares? The 49ers are 3-0, and they already look like a legitimate Super Bowl contender.

The 49ers Are Cooking

San Francisco currently ranks fifth in scoring offense (96 points), and ninth in scoring defense (54 points allowed). If they continue to play like this, the NFL world - and even The Rock himself - will hopefully start smelling what the 49ers are cooking.
