The WWE Hall of Fame is the highest honor for those that had a successful career in the WWE. However, some Hall of Famers have had shockingly bad matches with their fellow inductees. Since its inception in 1993 with Andre The Giant being the first inductee, many all-time greats have etched their name in history by being inducted into the Hall of Fame.

Unfortunately, WWE has not always presented their Hall of Famers in the best light. Inevitably, many wrestlers fail to produce classics, which is natural and sometimes to be expected. Alas, some matches between top talents just don't click.

10 Kevin Nash Vs Triple H - TLC 2011

Nash v Triple H 2011

Kevin Nash returned to the WWE in 2011 and assaulted Triple H in his tag team match with CM Punk against The Miz and R-Truth at Vengeance. The future Hall of Famers renewed their rivalry at TLC and they are not ladder match specialists. Furthermore, to keep up with the theme of TLC, they fought in the first-ever Sledgehammer Ladder match.

The whole concept of the match was silly as you would have to climb up and claim the sledgehammer to use it. Both men battled back and forth but The Game retrieved the sledgehammer and nailed his former Kliq buddy with it. Triple H was victorious and thankfully put their terrible feud to bed.

9 Shawn Michaels Vs Hulk Hogan - SummerSlam 2005

Michaels and Hogan had a terrible match in 2005

After Shawn Michaels and Hulk Hogan teamed up to defeat Kurt Angle and Carlito on the July 4th, 2005 episode of Monday Night Raw, Michaels nailed Hogan with Sweet Chin Music. HBK turned heel for the first time in three years and the blockbuster match between Hogan and Michaels would take center stage at SummerSlam 2005.

This match was an embarrassment. The Showstopper oversold every time Hogan had some offense. It main evented SummerSlam and it will go down in history as one of the worst SummerSlam main events. Nevertheless, the Hulkster picked up the win but after the match, Michaels showed his class by shaking hands with Hogan.

8 Hulk Hogan Vs Yokozuna - King Of The Ring 1993

Hogan and Yoko 1993

Hulk Hogan ensured that he had the last word at WrestleMania IX in April 1993. The Hulkster defeated Yokozuna in an impromptu match to win his fifth WWF Championship. Yokozuna waited two months for his rematch at King of The Ring 1993.

Hogan was on his way out of the company to join WCW as he was due to earn money and work lesser dates in WCW. Yokozuna regained the WWF Championship in a terrible match between the two. The Hulkster was blinded by a photographer with a fireball, and Yokozuna held the title for a little over nine months.

7 Goldberg Vs Triple H - Survivor Series 2003

Goldberg v Triple H

Unforgiven 2003 saw Triple H's nine-month reign of terror come to a crashing halt by Goldberg. Goldberg clinched the World Heavyweight Championship from The Game in a disappointing affair. The two future WWE Hall of Famers clashed once more in the main event of Survivor Series 2003.

Goldberg's ankle was taped up as Batista claimed the $100,000 bounty Triple H put out if someone could take out Goldberg. Nonetheless, despite softening up Goldberg, The Game failed to capitalize on the advantage that he had. Goldberg destroyed Evolution at Survivor Series and hit Triple H with a Jackhammer to retain his title.

6 Bret Hart Vs Yokozuna - WrestleMania IX (1993)

Bret v Yoko

WrestleMania IX saw Bret Hart featured in a WrestleMania main event for the first time in his Hall of Fame career. The Hitman defended the WWF Championship against Yokozuna. Yokozuna became the first man to earn a championship shot at WrestleMania after winning the 1993 Royal Rumble.

Bret led the New Generation era and he was five months into his first reign as WWF Champion. Hart tried his best against Yokozuna but could not save this terrible match, which the two would do marginally better again a year later. Yokozuna shocked the world as he won the title after his manager Mr. Fuji threw some salt in Hart's eyes.

5 Stone Cold Steve Austin Vs Scott Hall - WrestleMania X8 (2002)

Stone Cold v Hall

In 2002, Scott Hall returned to the WWE alongside Hulk Hogan and Kevin Nash as part of the NWO. They cost Austin the Undisputed WWF Championship at No Way Out in his match with Chris Jericho. Nevertheless, Hart was trying to relive his past glories of yesteryear when he was Razor Ramon but he had a high profile match with Stone Cold Steve Austin at WrestleMania X8.

Unfortunately, Hall had his own personal demons to contend with and could no longer perform at a high level. It was Austin's penultimate match at WrestleMania, which was one of his worst at the Showcase of the Immortals. The Texas Rattlesnake won the match but had Hall been in a better frame of mind, the match would have been miles better.

4 Sgt Slaughter Vs Hulk Hogan - WrestleMania VII (1991)

Slaughter v Hogan

Sgt Slaughter returned to the WWE and turned heel after he had a conversation with Vince McMahon. Slaughter was now an Iraqi-sympathizer and was pushed right to the top. Sarge was not comfortable in this role but he upset The Ultimate Warrior at the 1991 Royal Rumble to win the WWF Championship.

Slaughter had to wear a bulletproof vest in real-life in case he would get assaulted by fans. He defended the WWF Championship against Hulk Hogan in a lackluster main event at WrestleMania VII. The Hulkster clinched his third WWF Championship as the fans in attendance went wild.

3 Ivory Vs Chyna - Royal Rumble 2001

Ivory v Chyna

Towards the end of 2000, Ivory joined the Right to Censor and won the WWF Women's Championship for the third time. Ivory was languishing in the poor women's division but she finally had something to sink her teeth into. The first high profile women's feud of the 2000s saw Ivory clash with Chyna.

Chyna suffered a storyline neck injury after a devastating piledriver was delivered by Val Venis and Ivory. The Ninth Wonder of the World challenged Ivory for the Women's Title at the 2001 Royal Rumble. It was Chyna's first attempt at winning the championship as she usually fought with the men. She completely dominated this encounter with Ivory not hitting Chyna once. However, Ivory managed to retain the title after Chyna re-injured her neck when performing a back spring elbow.

2 Bret Hart Vs Bob Backlund - WrestleMania XI (1995)

Bret v Backlund

Bret Hart failed to recapture the WWF Championship he lost to Bob Backlund at the 1994 Survivor Series. He failed to defeat Diesel at the 1995 Royal Rumble. Unfortunately, the Hitman failed to feature in a high profile match at WrestleMania XI. It was an "I Quit" match with Roddy Piper as the special guest referee.

The fans at the Hartford Civic Center did not care about this match one single iota. The pace of this "I Quit" clash was very slow. It was way worse than their match at Survivor Series four months prior. Nevertheless, Bret got his revenge by winning the match, even though Backlund never uttered the words "I Quit."

1 Honky Tonk Man Vs The Ultimate Warrior - SummerSlam 1988

Honky Tonk Man V. Ultimate Warrior 1988

The Honky Tonk Man entered SummerSlam 1988 as the longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history. The Honky Tonk Man issued an open challenge for someone to challenged him for the Intercontinental Title. His original scheduled opponent Brutus Beefcake was due to challenge him but he was unable to compete as Ron Bass assaulted him backstage.

None other than The Ultimate Warrior answered his challenge. The Honky Tonk Man was still in his pre-match attire and was unable to fight back as Warrior's offense was too much for him to deal with. Warrior performed his Warrior Splash on Honky Tonk Man to become the new Intercontinental Champion. Warrior received a huge pop from the crowd in Madison Square Garden and went on to hold the title for eight months until he lost it to "Ravishing" Rick Rude at WrestleMania V.
