Heath Slater has had to do some embarrassing things for WWE, but something even more embarrassing may have just happened to him away from the ring.
It takes a special kind of pro wrestler to occupy the position that Heath Slater currently finds himself in on the card. The former leader of the now defunct Three Man Band has effectively been an enhancement talent for the majority of his long stay in WWE. Despite debuting on the main roster in 2010 Slater still holds that same position to this day.
Slater somehow continues to keep his character fresh, funny and entertaining without changing its core. The latest development came when he was the only Superstar not selected by either Raw or SmackDown Live during the 2016 draft. That led to an angle where Slater attempted to win his way on to both brands, eventually teaming with a returning Rhyno and winning the SmackDown Tag Team Titles.
Slater's appearances are few and far between on television at the moment, but the former Tag Team Champion made something of a buzz on social media for a non-WWE reason this week. The One Man Band managed to get himself stuck in an airplane bathroom and the whole ordeal was caught on camera by Curtis Axel who also plays the role of narrator. The door jammed shut and staff on the aircraft had to help free the WWE Superstar. They did so eventually and Slater had a crowd of people to greet him once the door opened.
As mentioned above, Slater is no stranger to embarrassing situations, although they normally happen in the ring as opposed to airplane bathrooms. On the rare occasion that he does appear on Raw nowadays it's normally as a part of a comedy segment or to be squashed by a talent higher up on the roster, as he was by Kane just last Monday night.
There were quite a few people watching on as Slater was being rescued from the airplane bathroom and at the time of typing this the two videos combined have been viewed over 25,000 times. Needless to say it's going to take a lot for WWE's foremost family man to live this one down.
