Should Lesnar leave the WWE, the obvious choice would be for him to return to the UFC. President Dana White has admitted that a return for Lesnar is "possible," and that the Universal Champion is interested in fighting for him once again.
TMZ Sports asked Paul Heyman about his client possibly returning back to the octagon. Here's what Lesnar's manager had to say in response:
"I think Brock Lesnar does whatever Brock Lesnar wants to do. If Brock Lesnar wants to fight in UFC, Brock Lesnar will fight in UFC. If Brock Lesnar wants to fight in WWE, he will fight in WWE. Braun Strowman, ask Randy Orton, ask The Undertaker. Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do."
TMZ Sports' headline in the video was misleading, which read "Brock Lesnar Is Primed for UFC Comeback, Says WWE Manager Paul Heyman." That prompted Heyman to issue this response on Twitter:
Dear @TMZ_Sports @TMZ- always love being caught in a sweat suit. For the record ... (1) I said "Brock Lesnar does what Brock Lesnar wants to do." That was my statement. (2) I'm not a manager. Such an antiquated term. I'm an #Advocate. And I'm the best of all time. You're welcome. https://t.co/uGHmvmKic0— Paul Heyman (@HeymanHustle) February 22, 2018
Heyman also added that UFC fighters aren't in prime shape, as they tire their bodies out with camps and having to cut weight. Heyman also said that his client would be more than ready for the UFC if he chose to head back.
As of now, it's anybody's guess what the future holds for Brock Lesnar in the WWE. Triple H is reportedly in charge of negotiations for his next contract, but Meltzer has notered there's no guarantee he stays on.
Should Lesnar leave the WWE, it'll be interesting to see if Heyman stays - and who his next client would be. As cool as it would be to have Heyman manage Lesnar in UFC, that's simply a pipe dream.
Everyone knows that Lesnar would be welcomes back into the UFC in a heartbeat - and that'd he'd be one of the most dominant fighters. But for all we know, Suplex City is planning to reign more terror in the WWE. We'll have an answer in the coming months.
