On Tuesday the WWE Universe was alerted to a headline straight out of the Attitude Era: Women's Superstar Pops Implant. Back in the day that women's Superstar could have been one of a dozen different people, but in today's era there's just a handful of possibilities and that Superstar ended up being Charlotte.

PWInsider.com didn't specify which implant it was, but Charlotte will be on the shelf for a while as she will be undergoing surgery shortly. But just how long has Charlotte been wrestling with the damaged implant you may ask? Well, according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the ruptured implant actually happened a while ago and even before Charlotte ended Asuka's undefeated streak at WrestleMania.

With Mania, the post-Mania weekly shows and Backlash taking place over the last month, Charlotte obviously didn't have time to get it repaired. She will also participate in the two-week European tour before going under the knife and she is fully expected to be ready for SummerSlam.

PWInsider also reports that Charlotte will miss the ACE Comic Con event in Seattle which takes place June 22-24 so that gives us a pretty good timetable for her recovery.

Charlotte has reportedly tried to keep the injury hidden which may be possible in a wrestling uniform, but wasn't as easy when she was photographed for ESPN The Magazine's Body issue. That issue routinely features athletes in nude or semi-nude poses and WON says she had photographers shoot around the ruptured implant for the spread.

We'll see how WWE addresses her upcoming surgery in the coming weeks and if they write Charlotte off TV due to an injury or have her pull an Alexa Bliss and wear T-shirts and avoid physical action.

There's a reason why Charlotte is known as "The Nature Girl" and not "The Natural Girl," but all jokes aside, we wish Charlotte a speedy recovery and look forward to seeing her perform again in the near future.
