The main event match will surely be one of the most hyped up matches in recent memory, as the WWE Universe has longed for The Shield's reunion since Seth Rollins broke them up in 2014. There's no doubting how dominant and popular this faction was, and we get to see them again in an epic five on three TLC match.
In fact, this may be a match you will have to stay up late to watch. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter (via eWrestlingNews.com), is reporting that The Shield vs Team Miz is "planned to be a very long match".
This shouldn't surprise anybody, as pay-per-view main event matches often last up to 20 minutes. The last time The Shield competed together was Payback 2014 when they beat Evolution in a match that lasted a whopping 30:56.
As of now, there are seven matches on the TLC card, but Bray Wyatt is battling meningitis and may not be available to face Finn Balor, which would mean just six matches over the three-hour span.
Plus, the WWE knows this is a match the fans want. They have to make the most of The Shield's reunion, especially if it's a one-time thing. Having eight superstars compete in the always-entertaining TLC match could wind up being one of the top bouts of 2017.
So how long will the match go on for? Nobody should be surprised if it lasts at least 40 minutes. There aren't any other matches on the card that should last too long. All we know is the creative team loves what they've set up, so the match will be lengthy, action-packed, and all-around entertaining.
