Kane made a shock return to WWE television on Monday as he was revealed to be the fifth member of Team Miz, but how was his come back kept a secret?

Roman Reigns and Braun Strowman battled inside of a steel cage on Monday night to determine exactly how many members Team Miz would have to take on The Shield this Sunday at TLC. When Miz himself revealed that if his team did win a fifth member it wouldn't be Miztourage member Curtis Axel, leaving the WWE Universe guessing on who exactly it was going to be.

We didn't have to wait long to find out who The Miz's secret weapon was as later in the night's main event it was revealed to be Kane. The Big Red Machine burst through the mat and aided Braun Strowman in defeating The Big Dog. That ensured his addition to Sunday night's main event.

These days there isn't often much in the way of surprises in professional wrestling thanks to social media and camera phones. Somehow though absolutely nobody knew or even suspected that Kane was going to return on Raw. Well, this is apparently how WWE did it according to The Wrestling Observer. They told absolutely no one that Kane was coming back that night, even flying him to a different airport, then drove him from the airport and kept him hidden until the night's main event.

It's good to know that if they put their minds to it, WWE can actually pull off something like this in 2017. When the fifth man was revealed not to be Curtis Axel most would have likely assumed it was going to be Samoa Joe. The Destroyer has been off of TV since he suffered an injury shortly after SummerSlam and will apparently be back on Raw any day now, but he won't be joining The Miz and friends at TLC.

All that's left to do now is watch the main event handicap match at TLC on Sunday and ponder over what's next for everyone involved. There are rumors that Kane's comeback has started the ball rolling on an Undertaker return since the pair's careers are so intertwined. That remains to be seen, but if it does turn out to be true let's hope WWE keep The Deadman's return as under wraps as they managed to do with Kane's.
