During NXT’s debut on USA Network, one of the main events ended with a massive changing of the guard as there is a new champion on the brand and a group that has become more powerful than ever.

To end the first hour of NXT on USA, Roderick Strong defeated The Velveteen Dream to become the new WWE NXT North American Champion. With the win, The Undisputed Era holds all the gold on the brand with the exception of the NXT Women's Championship.

For Undisputed Era, Strong's win fulfills a promise by the group to win every major title the brand has to offer. For Strong, this is his first run with the title and he is just the fifth Superstar to hold it. There were times that Velveteen Dream looked like an unbeatable champion after winning the title back on the February 20th. He defeated Johnny Gargano to become the North American Champion at that time.

But, Strong wasn't able to win it by himself. The Undisputed Era assisted Strong in the match and were able to get by with a few underhanded tactics to take home the gold. Leader of the group and NXT Champion, Adam Cole took to social media after the match and said simply, "We told you. Each and every single one of you."

What's Next For Undisputed Era

There were many fans who were hoping the faction might get a call-up to the main roster but with the need for stars on the brand now that they are on USA Network, and now that they hold all the gold, logically, the group isn't going anywhere.

Might they show up on an episode of Raw or SmackDown to brag about winning all the gold? Maybe. But to have them leave at this juncture would be a mistake.

Congrats to Strong and Dream for putting on a great match.
