The Hulkster is synonymous with wrestling, so his journey across promotions has always been an interesting one. Everyone knows about his legendary WWE run in the 80s, and nobody can forget about "Hollywood" Hulk Hogan and the nWo/WCW feud in the 90s. The less said about his TNA stints, though, the better.

Highlighted in this article is Hulk Hogan's time with WWE during the Ruthless Aggression Era. Following a fairly ugly split with Vince back in 1993, Hogan returned to the Promised Land in 2002 and created some memorable moments in the process.

10 nWo 4-Life

In early 2002, Vince McMahon and Ric Flair had engaged in a war over the company. Vince did the unthinkable and brought in some reinforcements to "inject poison" into the WWE (because Vince doesn't like to share).

Kevin Nash, Scott Hall, and Hulk Hogan returned to the WWE for the first time since the early-to-mid 90s. At No Way Out, the nWo attacked "Stone Cold" Steve Austin and The Rock, the company's aces, to make a statement.

9 The Most Electrifying Match In Sports Entertainment

While the bigger match may have been against "Stone Cold," fans ultimately got the better match when Hulk Hogan faced The Rock in a truly generational bout fit for a WrestleMania.

Toronto was electric, as the two icons clashed in an epic matchup that should have main-evented WrestleMania X8. Although The Rock came out victorious, Hulkamaniacs were the real winners, as Hogan put on a fine performance that re-cemented his place in WWE.

8 Hulk Still Rules

While his aura and appeal were always undeniable, it was a head-scratching decision to put the WWE title on a 48-year old Hogan—although that seems to be a thing nowadays—but that's exactly what happened after his big return at 'Mania.

He began feuding with WWE Undisputed Champion Triple H, and the two had a title match at BacklashHulk Hogan actually won, becoming WWE Champion for the sixth and final time.

7 Tag Team Champion

The Hulkster lost the WWE title a month later to The Undertaker at Judgement Day, but he wasn't done winning gold.

After a short feud with Kurt Angle, Hogan teamed up with Edge on a July episode of SmackDown. Together, they won the WWE Tag Team titles, Hogan's first-ever reign, by defeating Billy and Chuck. Their time as champions didn't last long, though, as The Un-Americans beat them a few weeks later.

6 Here Comes The Pain

"The Next Big Thing" rightfully had a rocket strapped to his back, as Brock Lesnar tore through the mid-to-upper card in about two months. To solidify his dominance right before his shining moment against The Rock at SummerSlam that year, Brock had one major red and yellow hurdle in front of him.

Except, Hogan wasn't much of an obstacle. Brock destroyed him on an episode of SmackDown, which would be the last time fans would see The Hulkster until 2003.

5 Feud With Mr. McMahon

The match was "20 years in the making." At least, that's the tagline WWE went with when the Creator took on his Creation: Vince McMahon Vs. Hulk Hogan.

Hulk returned to the WWE in early 2003, taking on "Hollywood" Rock at No Way Out. Vince cost him the match and declared Hulkamania dead. The two faced off in a fairly brutal Street Fight at WrestleMania XIX, which Hogan won after a few Leg Drops.

4 Mr. America

Following WrestleMania XIX, with his ego hurt, Vince forced Hogan to sit out the rest of his contract so Hulkamania could finally go away. To circumvent this, The Hulkster donned a mask and went by Mr. America, although fans weren't supposed to know, brother.

During this time he feuded with "Rowdy" Roddy Piper, and the two even had a match at Judgement Day. That would basically be it for Hogan and the Mr. America gimmick, as he soon quit the company, citing frustrations with WWE Creative.

3 WrestleMania 21

Hulk and the WWE just can't stay mad at each other for too long, can they? After nearly two years away, Hogan made yet another return to the company. He was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2005, but he was far from retired.

Hogan showed up the next night at WrestleMania 21 to save Eugene from a Muhammad Hassan and Daivari beating. It wasn't the last time The Hulkster would deal with these two...

2 The Heart Break Saga

Hassan and Daivari attacked Shawn Michaels to let out their frustration following their embarrassment at 'Mania 21. Hogan would even up the odds, as the dream team would mop the floor with Hassan and Daivari at Backlash.

Michaels would return the favor a few months later, helping Hogan out against the unlikely duo of Carlito and Kurt Angle. After the match, HBK hit the Sweet Chin Music on Hulk, turning semi-heel. This started a short feud with Hogan, which culminated in a match at SummerSlam that year. The Hulkster won the intentionally hilarious encounter.

1 Killing The Legend Killer

Hulk Hogan would once again go away for another year, returning one last time during the Ruthless Aggression Era to face off against Randy Orton.

Hogan made his return during WWE's Saturday Night Main Event, where he brought along his daughter Brooke Hogan. Orton flirted with Brooke and then gave Hogan an RKO on his car. They would face each other at SummerSlam, where Hulk would, of course, win.
