There was speculation a couple of months ago that IMPACT! Wrestling would continue to hold their television tapings in Canada. Well that seems to be the case.

During the Border City Wrestling/iMPACT! Wrestling event, March Breakdown, it was announced that IMPACT is returning to St. Clair College in Windsor, Ontario, Canada for their television tapings. The tapings will take place on June 1st and 2nd.

What's really interesting is that the tapings will only go down for a total of two days, whereas in the past they've dragged on for a much longer period of time.

With IMPACT losing a lot of good talent over the past several months, they seem to be pushing the envelope more as of late. During a recent match between Eddie Edwards and Sami Callahan, Callahan hit Edwards in the face with a baseball bat after losing the match and it ended up sending him to the hospital.

IMPACT! also recently had to air their Barbed Wire Massacre on Twitch, because Pop TV didn't believe it was suitable for their audience.  The fact of the matter is that they have to do whatever it takes to set themselves apart from WWE.

Former WWE writer Jimmy Jacobs recently stated that he believes that IMPACT! has an advantage over WWE when it comes to their story lines during a media conference call with Mirror Sport.

"One of [the] advantages we have here is that we are taping a lot of weeks of TV in a row. What's cool about that is that we can tell a story long term and in WWE there is not a lot of that. Whilst it's similar in some ways, it's nice that we can tell long-term stories. And we have more freedom to try new things and experiment. It's a time to try something that may fail. Lot of times in WWE you tread water to get to the next week. I feel like at Impact we can do a little more. But it's still crazy busy. The last tapings we did in January was like nothing I have done in my life."

It's really interesting what Jacobs had to say about WWE treading water in order to get to the next week and how IMPACT! isn't afraid to try things, even if they might fail. I believe that's due to the fact that IMPACT! is essentially an underdog and doesn't have anything to lose in their hopes of one day overtaking a monster like WWE.

Jacobs was recently released by WWE after posting a photo of himself with Bullet Club members Young Bucks, Marty Scurll, and Adam Page. But he made it clear that there are many reasons why he was released from the company while appearing on a podcast.
