Hager is 2-0 as an MMA fighter, winning his first bout just past the two-minute mark with an arm-triangle choke against J.W Kiser at Bellator 214 in January. His second fight saw him execute the same move to beat T.J Jones in the first round at Bellator 221 back in May.

The former WWE star was revealed as an AEW member during the first episode of Dynamite earlier this month. He emerged from nowhere to lay waste to Cody Rhodes and co. at the end of the show, later forming what's now known as the Inner Circle, led by Jericho.

While he's transitioned back to wrestling, he maintains an attachment to Bellator and will continue to fight for the company for the time being.

Hager recently warned former UFC star, Cain Velasquez, ahead of his title match against Brock Lesnar at the end of this month.

“It takes years and years of training to have a great match with somebody," he said this week. "As excited that I am that he crossed over, and I love the competition and the comparisons because him and I are the same age and were in college at the same time.

"I don’t think someone can walk off the street and have that Hall of Fame five-star match. It’s going to be an eye-opener for a lot of fans and him.”

Stay Safe, Big Guy

There's every possibility that Hager could get hurt during his fight on Friday night, so we're really hoping that does not turn out to be the case.

Another win would mark a new milestone in his MMA career and it would be nice to see him go 3-0 before heading back to AEW. It's also great that his colleagues have opted to join him.
