He's done it again! Booker T has once again managed to say five things over the course of just one three hour episode of Raw that were downright ridiculous. What's more is this Monday night we noticed that Booker T's nonsensical comments seem to have a central theme. Last week, almost everything weird that the six-time World Champion said revolved around his flip-flopping over Jason Jordan. We were treated to a lot less Jordan this week, but still the same amount of weird Booker remarks. This week most of the strange things the Hall of Famer said sounded as if he was making reference to comments that hadn't been said. Sit back and let us remind you of the five most nonsensical things Booker T said this week.
5. Booker Doesn't Like Crossfit
Let's kick things off with exactly what was discussed during the introduction, responding to comments that simply weren't said. During Seth Rollins match with Cesaro, Corey Graves was discussing how great an athlete The Architect is. Booker took it upon himself to twist Corey's words and seemed to think that the host of Straight To The Source was putting down Rollins. Booker said, "I'm not a fan of that Crossfit training either, Corey." Umm Booker, no one said anything about Crossfit or asked you to come up with reasons why you don't like one of the best performers in the business today. Who knows, maybe someone was discussing their dislike of Crossfit in Booker's headset, and he responded to that, forgetting he was on live television with millions of people listening to him.
4. Roman Reigns Is What?
Now everyone gets their words muddled up from time to time. WWE Superstars are performing on live television sometimes multiple times a week, so when they have a microphone in front of them they'll naturally make mistakes, they're only human after all. However, most of the time you can either figure out what they meant or they correct themselves. Monday night on Raw Booker T fell into neither of those categories and once again was responding to nothing that had been said by his fellow announcers. While Roman Reigns was doing battle with Cesaro Booker said: "Roman Reigns is 75 percent is pretty tough dude." Just to clarify there are no typos there, that's exactly what he said. We're assuming that he was insinuating Roman was only wrestling at 75 percent of his normal fitness and ability, but why that would be the case we don't know.
3. It Ain't Bragging Man
The thing that spurred Booker's nonsensical comments this week started before the first bell had even rung. Paige and the rest of Absolution were climbing up into the ring at which point Booker said: "when you call your shot and you come in and knock it out of the park, it ain't bragging man." What that means or is in reference to is anyone's guess, and this one was so out of left field that even the Hall of Famer's announce partner Corey Graves couldn't let it slide. Graves clearly attempted to decipher the comment before giving up and simply saying "I have no idea what you just said." You and us both Corey, you and us both.
2. Mandy Rose Is Tough
One of the theories why Booker T's commentary being all over the place is that he doesn't remember what he says from week to week. Well, with this one you can throw that theory out the window because it felt like he was trying to make amends for one of the remarks that made this list last week. Booker said last Monday night that Mandy Rose was so tough that she didn't even finish Tough Enough. Nonsense of the highest order. Well, this past Monday it felt as if he tried to make up for that but just reminded fans like us of what he had said the week prior. Booker commented on Rose's toughness and that it stems from doing so well on Tough Enough. Just leave your past nonsense in the past Booker and try to move on.
1. Is Curtis Axel Wrestling Or Not?
The match between Curtis Axel and Finn Balor on Raw this week was a throw away one and probably won't be topping many lists. Thanks to something extremely strange said by Booker T though, it has made the number one spot in this top five. Axel was making his way to the ring for his match but still had his neck brace on for comic effect. Michael Cole and Corey Graves questioned why he was still wearing it when he had a match and had been cleared to wrestle. Booker then took it upon himself to cut in and say words to the effect of he might not be wrestling, how would they know that? Cole and Corey couldn't resist and just burst out laughing as they explained that Axel was on his way to the ring for a match right now. Clearly, someone needs to make sure Booker gets a copy of the run sheet.
