It's already been reported that WWE has changed their mind on AJ Styles and are in fact interested in bringing him in when his contract expires with New Japan. With TNA's future in limbo, it's also being reported that WWE would be interested in bringing in more of their talents on expiring contracts for the NXT brand.

Officials are trying to figure out who's close to an expiring contract and who they would subsequently bring in.

Who would you like to see in WWE, or at least on NXT? James Storm? Austin Aries? Bobby Roode? If signings like this would happen, then NXT really would challenge the main roster shows as to what the superior brand of WWE is.
