It looks like WWE Hall of Famer Jake "The Snake" Roberts is making a return to the wrestling ring at the age of 62. This isn't a surprise, since all of the greats can never seem to completely stay away from the wrestling ring.
It's being reported by eWrestlingNews.com that Roberts will be making an appearance at a CWE event on Tuesday, December 26th, in Stonewall, Manitoba, Canada.
The match will feature CWE Champion “Canadian Hercules” Tyler Colton and three-time CWE Tag Team Champion “Hotshot” Danny Duggan along with Roberts, versus CWE's first ever Champion in “The Canadian Crusher” AJ Sanchez and five-time OVW Tag Team Champion Brian Logan at CWE's Pick your Poison event.
By looking at the ticket prices, if you're a big fans of Roberts, then you can get a ticket for as cheap as $17 in advance or $20 at the door. That's not bad at all if you want to be able to watch a WWE legend get in the ring and go to work.
Roberts started his career all the way back in 1974, which is 43 years ago. He signed a contract with the WWF in 1986 and left for World Championship Wrestling in 1992, but returned to the WWF in 1996 after also testing out the independent circuit as well.
While Roberts stopped wrestling on a consistent basis with Total Nonstop Action Wrestling in 2008, he also returned to WWE in 2014 on an episode of Raw. He wanted to compete in the Royal Rumble that year, but that never happened.
Instead, Roberts was announced as an inductee into the WWE Hall of Fame for 2014 and was inducted by Diamond Dallas Paige on April 5th of 2014.
With Roberts turning 63 years-old in only five months, I would be surprised if he does that much wrestling with CWE. With it being a six-man match, I doubt he'll get beat up at all. At the end of the day, it's a great chance for CWE to sell tickets and allow their wrestlers to work with an all-time great.
