The WWE Universe has received some disappointing news in recent weeks, as SmackDown's lead announcer, Mauro Ranallo, isn't expected to get his expiring contract renewed. He's not returning to programming and had to miss WrestleMania after reportedly dealing with depression.
Though we're sure many of Ranallo's co-workers will miss him, it doesn't seem as though John Bradshaw Layfield will be one of them. According to Dave Meltzer from Wrestling Observer Radio (via WrestleZone), JBL has been blocking plenty of folks on Twitter who have tweeted their support for Ranallo.
Perhaps it's because Ranallo tweeted this shot at JBL:
Loved it when it first happened. Love it even more now.👊 https://t.co/IcfLAisFhh— Mauro Ranallo (@mauroranallo) April 10, 2017
While we wish the best for Ranallo in his health and future endeavors, we can say JBL is relieved that one of his on-the-air partners is leaving the company.
