The high-flyer has put on stellar matches in TNA that may have flown under the radar. Here are five of Jeff Hardy's best TNA matches as well as five WWE standouts that remain untouchable.

10 TNA: Jeff Hardy vs. Austin Aries (Turning Point 2012)

Jeff Hardy Austin Aries Turning Point

Jeff Hardy and Austin Aries found themselves in a ladder match at Turning Point competing for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship, their second collision for the title. Aries was dominating TNA at the time and Hardy has never struggled to garner momentum, so their match was an instant classic.

Hardy won after executing a Twist Of Fate on Aries from a propped ladder, retrieving the belt moments later. It remains one of Hardy's many excellent ladder matches in Impact Wrestling.

9 WWE: Jeff Hardy vs. Umaga (Raw 2008)

This was a grueling match that showcases the extreme lengths Hardy goes to entertain a wrestling crowd. Hardy had numerous stand-out matches against the Samoan Bulldozer, during all of which he performed various daring high-flying assaults that astounded fans.

The Charismatic Enigma picked up the win after executing a Whisper In The Wind from the peak height of the structure, as nemesis Randy Orton looked on. It was a highlight along Hardy's ascent to the top - and the WWE Championship.

8 TNA: Jeff Hardy vs. Kurt Angle (No Surrender 2010)

Another match between former WWE Superstars and wrestling icons, Hardy and Angle fought in the semi-finals to advance to the main event of Bound For Glory and a shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Championship.

Highlights include Hardy refusing to tap to the Ankle Lock in a moment that looks truly painful as well as the match ending in a draw as neither man picked up a victory. A similar finish seemed guaranteed from the start, given the stipulation that Angle would retire should he lose.

7 WWE: Jeff Hardy vs. CM Punk (SummerSlam 2009)

Jeff Hardy and CM Punk's rivalry quickly grew heated as their bitter animosity extended into real-life, Punk calling out Hardy for his wellness policy violations during promos. However, this made their matches that much more intense and personal, as their SummerSlam clash showcases.

Punk won in what would be a match that would help establish his career in WWE. Hardy took several nasty looking bumps, including crashing through the broadcast table following a Swanton Bomb off a ladder.

6 TNA: Jeff Hardy vs. Austin Aries vs. Bobby Roode (Genesis 2013)

Jeff Hardy successfully defended his TNA World Heavyweight Championship in a Triple Threat Elimination match against Austin Aries and Bobby Roode, first eliminating Roode with a controversial double pin before taking out Aries with a Swanton Bomb.

All three Superstars would eventually find their way to WWE, Bobby Roode capturing the NXT Championship and Austin Aries competing in the cruiserweight division. This remains an excellent example of their in-ring chemistry from TNA, however.

5 WWE: Jeff Hardy vs. Rob Van Dam (Raw 2002)

Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam have incredible in-ring chemistry, neither Superstar afraid to take risks and willing to pull off high-flying, daring maneuvres. Their Title vs. Title ladder match on Raw highlighted this, as they fought over the soon-to-be unified Intercontinental and European Championship.

Van Dam won this match and Hardy began to move further away from his brother and more into singles competition. It is another Hardy ladder match classic, containing an impressive spot in which the former WWE Champion performed a Swanton Bomb onto a ladder that was laid across Van Dam.

4 TNA: Jeff Hardy vs. Rhyno vs. Abyss vs. Sabu (Bound For Glory 2005)

Monster's Ball II was thrown at Bound For Glory 2005 and saw TNA's most extreme stars collide in a brutal showdown. Chairs, tables, ladders and all manner of weapons were used by each wrestler, who had (in kayfabe) been locked in a dark room for 24 hours before prepare.

Hardy took a huge bump performing a Swanton Bomb from the top of the TNA titantron through a table. It was a moment that made fans both cheer and cringe.

3 WWE: Jeff Hardy vs. Edge vs. Triple H (Armageddon 2008)

Jeff Hardy's push had been stopped and started, leaving fans to believe he had little chance of winning this triple threat for the WWE Championship. Instead, it became a moment of triumph as the high-flyer defeated Edge and Triple H to win WWE's top title.

The only thing better than this was his champion entrance to the ring the following night, as the crowd erupted for their new WWE Champion in a wild and colorful celebration.

2 TNA: Willow & Kurt Angle vs. EC3 & Rockstar Spud (Sacrifice 2014)

Jeff's Hardy alter-ego, Willow the Wisp, was met with a mixed reception when he debuted in TNA. An omega character for the Charismatic Enigma, Willow represented Hardy's inner darkness which he unleashed after EC3 and Rockstar Spud cost him a title shot at Final Resolution 2013.

As Willow, he defeated his rivals with the help of Kurt Angle in another showcase of talent. His run as Willow didn't last long, though it may have paved the way for Matt Hardy's 'Broken' gimmick.

1 WWE: Jeff Hardy vs. Edge (Extreme Rules 2009)

Another example of the hardships Hardy will go through to make a hardcore match worthy of the title, his clash with Edge remains one of his best performances to date. The two had a history in ladder matches from their tag-team days, but this collision was the best of many.

The Rated R Superstar's impact as he collides with Hardy after throwing himself from a ladder with a Spear, only to be caught with a Twist Of Fate, is particularly brutal. Hardy won this match, though his celebration was cut short due to the arrival of CM Punk.
