The wives of Jeff and Matt Hardy became embroiled in a spat on Twitter following Matt commenting on his brother's most recent arrest.

Jeff was arrested and charged with driving while impaired in Moore Country, North Carolina on October 3. That follows an arrest for being intoxicated in public back in July.

Matt would issue a short statement on social media in the wake of the incident.

“Since so many have asked me about my brother tonight - I love my brother & want him to be happy & healthy," he wrote. "I’ve expressed that to him as much as I can. Jeff has to make his decisions about his life. I have to focus on my 2 boys & soon to arrive son. I can only control MY actions.”

Jeff's wife, Beth, wasn't pleased with her brother-in-law's comment and lashed out on Twitter over the weekend. You could see her pair of tweets below.

Reby Hardy, Matt's wife, would issue a lengthy response, pointing out that Matt doesn't need Beth's approval to speak out about his own brother.

“No matter how much you dislike him, MATT IS STILL HIS BROTHER, here LONG before your a** & is family, not ‘family,’ PERIOD," she declared. "Any statements from Matt about Jeff don’t need YOUR approval; it ain’t about YOU. I know it kills you to have anyone acknowledge that the facade of a perfect life you try to maintain is a f**king joke, but not everyone thinks the sun shines out of your a**es, Beth, and not everyone wants to be complicit in your ‘protecting’ & enabling of a man who is well on his way to killing himself or someone else.

"You’re an idiot if you really believe Jeff’s actions don’t affect Matt; they do & and he has every f**king right to speak his mind on HIS OWN BROTHER. Remember, he speaks from EXPERIENCE. Unlike you, we don’t run & hide from our issues & pretend nothing is or was ever wrong in this house. Matt was the absolute worst & I’ve seen how bad it can truly get. I know how this story ends if you don’t f**king wake up already. Worry about THAT instead of what is said to ‘f**king nobodies online,’ as you so eloquently describe their fans.

"It’s not ‘talking s**t,’ it’s living in REALITY & holding people accountable when they need it. Maybe it’s time to put the wine emojis away, drop the Twitter stuntin’ & put that energy into keeping your man from driving f**ked up on the street I drive WITH MY CHILDREN before trying to come at a man for addressing his own blood/business partner. In short, & as always, MIND YOUR F–KING BUSINESS.”

Matt also chimed in, insisting he has every right to say what he said as he's been with his brother from day one.

Blood Is Thicker Than Water

Matt is not wrong here, he's a blood relative of Jeff and has been with him all of the way. It's quite sad to see how this has unfolded when we take into consideration that Jeff really needs a support system around him instead of having his family at odds.

The WWE star has had a bit of a history with substance abuse and alcohol-related arrests are becoming the norm.

We wish Jeff the very best and really hope that he can find the help he needs to get over what he might be going through. But this really isn't the time for the people he's likely the closest to to be fighting.
