After losing the AEW Championship to Jon Moxley, Chris Jericho figured his latest podcast episode was a good time to talk the real behind-the-scenes story of the AEW Championship Title being stolen after he won it. It's extremely insane.

The true story is almost too incredible to be believed. Jericho talked everything from his airport pickup to being driven to the Longhorn Steakhouse where the belt was stolen and all the happenings that took place after the report was made the belt was missing. The most recent episode of the Talk is Jericho Podcast spill the beans on all of it.

Jericho still doesn't know how, exactly, the belt got grabbed but he believes the driver of the SUV limo and an accomplice was behind it all. Jericho says he can't prove it but the events leading up to the theft scream the driver had scouted the title going into his grey bag, intentionally suggested they go eat at Longhorn Steakhouse and likely delayed Jericho and his group while they were eating so his partner could sneak into the limo's trunk and grab the championship.

From there, Jericho said the story gets stranger and that it felt like the entire town of Tallahassee was in on the theft.

Jericho didn't want the news getting out but once it did, he knew he and AEW needed to do something. He went home and made the Bubbly video that went viral to send to the reporters who caught wind of the story because the Tallahassee Police Department started tweeting photos of themselves with it.

He called the police department and asked why he wasn't told the belt was found and they said someone had found it on the side of the road and it had just been dropped off. Jericho called that story fishy too.

Jericho spoke of the title going up on Craig's List, the guy's story who found it, why everyone took photos with it and how Jericho was never filled in by the police along the way. Eventually, Jericho made arrangements to get the title back but didn't trust anyone.

Still An Open Case And Unsolved Mystery

Jericho noted that, to this date, the case is still open and no one knows how the belt was stolen. He was told there were security cameras around the restaurant but nothing came of that. All he knows is that someone found the $30,000 belt and gave it back to the police, or so they say.

Jericho summarized the whole thing by saying, "In my opinion", I think we got picked up, the driver knew it was a title, realized it was an expensive belt, called an accomplice to meet at the Longhorn, he killed time while his partner stole the title and left. Whoever had it realized they stole something that was being followed by a lot of people and decided to dump it. Some nosy person found a bag and returned it to the police after he tried to sell it on Craig's List.

All Jericho knows is that he still wants to solve the mystery, he never lost the title, it wasn't a stunt by AEW, and now the company is better prepared with a backup title.

Jericho ended the podcast asking any listeners who might have more information to tweet him about it.
