All four of MMA's horsewomen are now signed to WWE contracts, and they're already eyeing up a showdown with their WWE equivalents.

WWE's women's revolution has reached a point now where even females from other sports haven't been able to resist joining the company's ranks. By that, of course, we mean the likes of Ronda Rousey and Shayna Baszler. The Rowdy One made her in-ring debut at WrestleMania 34, and Baszler, following a great showing in the Mae Young Classic, is now the NXT Women's Champion.

Rousey and Baszler only make up one half of MMA's four horsewomen though, and so far Marina Shafir and Jessamyn Duke, the remaining two members, have only appeared in WWE as spectators. Duke, Shafir and Rousey were all in the front row during the Mae Young Classic to watch Baszler compete, plus Shafir has also been present to support her NXT Superstar husband, Roderick Strong.

That's all about to change now however. It was announced this week that Duke and Shafir have now officially been signed to NXT contracts. That means WWE now has all four of MMA's horsewomen, and the two newest signings already have their sights set on their WWE counterparts. In the below interview, Duke labels Charlotte Flair and co the 'faux horsewomen', making it seem as if a showdown between all eight competitors is inevitable.

Even though the final two horsewomen have only just signed, both them and the WWE quartet have almost clashed before. Both sets of women were in attendance at the Mae Young Classic, and there is where they first teased the fact that an eight woman tag match could happen between them all somewhere down the line. For now though Duke and Shafir will need to focus on honing their wrestling skills.

Although a horsewomen versus horsewomen match is clearly in the pipeline, it is likely still a long way off. Rousey's training is far from done, while the new signings will have only paid a handful of visits to the Performance Center. It's an exciting prospect though, and one that will have had a lot of build by the time it finally happens.
