WWE SmackDown Live champion Jey Uso was arrested in Texas for driving under the influence on Sunday, according to Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet. He was released later in the day on a $500 bond, but further details haven't been released.
Jey and brother Jimmy Uso competed in a live SmackDown show earlier in Hidalgo, Texas, successfully defending their championships against The Bludgeon Brothers and Rusev & Aiden English.
Mugshots of Jey Ruso were released:
This isn't the first time where the Uso brothers have ran into trouble with the law. Jimmy was arrested for a DUI in 2011, and got caught driving with a suspended license in 2013 while he was on probation.
Jey Uso could face suspension from the WWE for the DUI arrest. Former female superstar Cameron was given a modest 15-day suspension following a DUI arrest in 2012. But since it's Jey's first offence, they may let him off the hook.
This news comes on the same day that superstar Roman Reigns (a relative of the Usos), was implicated in a steroid scandal. Imprisoned dealer Richard Rodriguez alleged that Reigns was involved in his illegal operation. WWE and Reigns have yet to release any statements on te allegations.
The Uso brothers are part of the major Anoa'i wrestling family, debuting on the WWE's main roster on May 24, 2010. They won a pair of Tag Team Championships, and are in their second reign as the SmackDown Tag Team Champions. The Usos also won Slammy Awards as the Tag Team of the Year in 2014 and 2015.
As of now, Jey is still scheduled to appear on SmackDown Live tonight. We will be sure to bring any further updates your way.
