John Cena Reveals If He Will Ever Become A 'Paul Heyman Guy'

Cena was asked if he would ever align himself with Paul Heyman, and the 16-time world champion ended up taking a shot at Brock Lesnar with his answer.

John Cena is many things. That phrase is simple enough, but the man who has been the face of WWE for the last decade is more than just a WWE Superstar. He is an actor who has received rave reviews for his performances. He is an unashamed meathead who devours 2-3 protein shakes per day. He is also a devoted husband who...oh, nevermind.

But is John Cena a Paul Heyman guy? The two share a love for wrestling and a dislike for Roman Reigns, but could Cena ever find himself under the wing of The Advocate and one of his clients?

Cena was asked that question while at the MegaCon Convention last week. Here's the response he gave to a fan (h/t WrestlingInc).

"Paul is an extremely valuable resource because of his knowledge. I rely on Paul a lot for his opinion, his insight behind the curtain. Paul Heyman is best with people who aren't able to articulate with a microphone in their hands. I enjoy the negative and positive response from being so honest after 15 years of us being together as friends, partners, family, whatever you want to call it. Paul Heyman would be wasted with me, and likewise I would be wasted with Paul. Paul is a great vehicle to describe someone who can't describe themselves, but he has a wealth of knowledge and he is someone that I definitely lean on."

A simple "no" would have succinctly answered the question but it appears Cena couldn't help but throw a jab at anyone that Heyman represents. "People who aren't able to articulate with a mic" and "someone who can't describe themselves" sound exactly like Heyman's current client, Brock Lesnar, and Cena is certainly no Lesnar on the mic.

It's definitely for the better that Cena and Heyman are kept on opposite sides as that has led to some pretty entertaining banter between the two. There are many WWE Superstars who Heyman would be an asset to, *cough* Ronda Rousey, but Cena is not one of them, so if and when Lesnar decides to take his talents to UFC, don't expect Heyman and Cena to combine forces.
