WWE seem to have something pretty big in store for John Cena at WrestleMania 34 and may announce his opponent at Raw's 25th anniversary.

John Cena finally admitted recently that he is done working a full-time schedule with WWE. The 16 time World Champion is 40 years old, becoming more and more involved in the glamorous world of television and cinema, and will also marry Nikki Bella sometime in the not so distant future. All of that combined, plus the fact he has been wrestling pretty much non stop for 15 years means he is deservedly stepping away.

Don't get your wires crossed though. Big Match John is far from done with in-ring competition altogether. In fact, Cena returned to Raw this past Monday and put on a great match with Elias. It's likely that he will now be back for the majority of the time between now and WrestleMania 34, but who will the veteran face when WWE set up shop in New Orleans?

Apparently, the original plan was to have Cena and AJ Styles battle for the WWE Championship once again. The two of them put on a match of the year candidate at this year's Royal Rumble and most fans would love to see a rematch. However, according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer that is no longer the case. Instead, WWE plans to reveal Cena's WrestleMania opponent at Raw's 25th-anniversary show.

The first name that jumps to mind when thinking of that potential announcement is The Undertaker. It's one of the biggest matches to never happen in WWE and this feels like it would truly be the last chance for it to take place. It has already been confirmed that The Deadman will be at the 25th anniversary special, but in what capacity that will be we do not know. Meltzer noted that other names Cena could face at WrestleMania are Batista, Goldberg, or even Hulk Hogan.

No matter how part-time John Cena becomes in the coming years it's hard to imagine that he will ever willingly miss WrestleMania. Even at WrestleMania 32 when he was on the comeback trail from a major injury he still made a cameo appearance in order to help The Rock fend off The Wyatt Family. New Orleans may be the last time we see The Undertaker but it will not be the last hurrah for John Cena.
