Jon Moxley has blasted WWE's schedule, calling it "stupid" but noting that they might reduce the content they put out as he reckons its ridiculous as is right now.

Moxley wrestled under the name Dean Ambrose at WWE for several years before leaving upon the expiration of his contract and joining All Elite Wrestling. His AEW career hasn't gotten off to the best of starts as he's had to deal with a recurring staph infection, but he is now booked to give fans that match against Kenny Omega at upcoming PPV Full Gear.

The performer spoke to the press at the promotion's New York Comic-Con this weekend, claiming that AEW's emergence has made things better for both companies because standards have been raised and various WWE wrestlers are now getting paid better. Seemingly unable to resist a barb, he referred to their scheduling as senseless and suggested that it will change soon enough.

“I think everybody’s going to start doing better than they’re doing right now,” he said to Cageside Seats. “You’re seeing wrestlers who are getting more money from WWE because they are trying to lock everybody down. Which is great - it should have been like that all along! I think they’re gonna start reducing their schedule too, which is good, because their schedule’s stupid. Makes no sense.

“So I think you’re gonna see a better quality of life for the guys in the competition so to speak, just because of the existence of AEW.”

Mox also named the one person he's not looking forward to ever getting in a ring with again, calling his experience with NJPW's Toru Yano a "horror."

The 33-year-old had his undefeated G1 Climax 29 streak broken by Toru earlier this year and isn't all that keen on facing the man again.

"I never wanna experience that horror again," he declared. Coming from a brawler like Moxley, that's quite the compliment.

We're Not So Sure, Jon

WWE has been on TV for several decades without taking so much as a week off and wrestlers therein have admitted that they wouldn't mind an offseason. They're not likely to get one, though.

Whether or not Mox is right about Vince McMahon reducing is something that remains to be seen. But if we know McMahon well, AEW's existence will likely make him work even harder.
