WWE Rumor: Jason Jordan Vs Seth Rollins Still Planed For WrestleMania

Despite Jason Jordan undergoing neck surgery earlier this week, a potential match between him and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania is not off the cards.

Ever since Dean Ambrose was sidelined with a long-term injury, WWE has been scrambling for what to do with Seth Rollins. Since they were also scrambling for an idea for Jason Jordan's future, it would seem that they thought their paths might as well cross. With that, they became an odd couple holding the Raw Tag Team Champions.

At the Royal Rumble, that title reign came to an end at the hands of The Bar and even before that, cracks were beginning to show between the two. In fact, there were cracks when they won the championships let alone when they lost them. Rumors then began to spread that this was the build to a WrestleMania showdown between the two.

Then even more rumors followed about a potentially serious injury to Jordan and those rumors turned out to be true. Earlier this week the former Tag Team Champion underwent neck surgery so will be ruled out for a while. According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, his WrestleMania match with The Architect is currently not off the table, although it is pretty unlikely at this point.

If Jordan and Rollins are going to clash in New Orleans, then it's a match that will need a lot of build. On paper, it hardly feels like a matchup worthy of the biggest show of the year, especially for someone like Rollins. If it's touch-and-go whether Jordan will be back in time for WrestleMania, then it's unlikely that he will be on TV much between now and then, so sadly for the former American Alpha man, maybe it's a better idea to scrap the plan altogether.

If that does indeed happen, then that leaves WWE creative needing to find a suitable spot for Rollins. The former WWE Champion has had huge spots at the last two WrestleManias he has been fit for, cashing in his Money In The Bank contract and taking on Triple H. The trouble is there will be plans that have already been set in motion for most if not all of the top stars so finding something else for Rollins will be easier said than done.
